Chapter 2: you did what

I sat in Alaric's office with both him and Hope "Era I just don't understand how you could do this" Alaric yelled at me who just sat in her chair "And I also don't understand how you can support her in this" his focus was now on Hope who had her usual glare in her eyes and looked to me as if to say do you wanna tell him or should I thee two finally decided it would be better if I told him groaning as I was about to speak Alaric started up again "What are you two doing, girls this is serious he is extremely dangerous he killed his entire coven including the twin's mother on our wedding day might I add, the coven that didn't include the multiple siblings he murdered in 1994 or did you both just happen to forget about that, this isn't the time for you two to have silent conversations"

"I mean we all did," Hope said out loud by accident looking up to face Alaric's glare "Sorry"

"Era I just need to know why" Alaric breathed out frustrated with the two Mikaelsons, Hope was enough trouble at times for him but the both of them together reminded him of the days when the Mikaelson family was staying in the town which was absolute chaos

"Alaric The only reason why I saved him is because.." struggling to say the next few words Hope clutched my hand "I'm dying Alaric the Hollow is killing me and I need him to occasionally siphon some of it out of me so I can live a little longer experience more things as a human"

    "I thought the Hallow died with your father and uncle"

    "Most of it did, but for Era to be alive a part of it has to live inside of her and like any dark object as time goes on it degrades"

    "The only thing keeping me alive is also killing me right now"

    Alaric sat at his desk for a minute trying to figure out what to do I could see the gears turning in his head I knew he believed I didn't deserve to die "And how long do you have if he doesn't siphon from you"

    "Weeks maybe a few months no more than 6" Alaric sat at his desk his head in his hands "Alaric I just want to live a little before I transition"

"And how long if he siphons from you?"

"A year maybe a year and a half from what I've seen after a year there a conflicting forces that come into play after that"

    "And you can keep him on a leash"

    "Yes," Era said "It will be similar to the one my mom kept Mikael on though we won't be bound by a bracelet we'll be bound by blood and whatever happens to him happens to me it's like a mix between Esters binding spell and my mom's use of the bracelet"

    "Fine I'll allow it but only if you don't stay on the property, and you keep him as far away from the girls as you can I don't want him setting foot in this school unless he absolutely has to," Alaric said.

    "Thank you," I said walking out of his office.

    "Well, that took a lot less convincing than I thought," Hope said linking her arm with mine.

    "Right"

    "And I assume  you'll be staying in my dad's mansion while your here"

    "Already had my dad add my name to it, and already having it prepped,"I said my eyes going to kai who was sitting outside the office.

"Have I been expelled" Kai pouted. rolling my eyes I looked to Hope because what the hell have I done, I have essentially made a mass murderer my pet.

"Yes, now come on" I gestured for him to follow Hope and I, which he did getting up and following us through the hallways of the school as chatted catching up with each other I could feel the looks we were getting most of the student had only ever heard rumors of my existence "Why is Hopes cousin here she would only come if somethings wrong" and "oh no what if the rest of the family is coming" some people were asking they're friends who I was the answer was not expected "That's Era, Hopes younger cousin remember 13 years ago she tried to sacrifice those children in New Orleans, she says she doesn't remember doing it but I bet that's a total lie she's one of them" my head snapped to the girl then to kai who was looking at both Hope and I with a confused face he genuinely had no clue who we are.
