Route 4 here I am! Starting this chapter off with an encounter and it's a... Ladyba. I mean, could be worse. Probably. I catch him and name him Ulysses.
I also just learned it's spelled "Ledyba" and I hate that. I also hate that I was training Ulysses, and he got crit killed by a Skitty. So that's great. What's also great is that Corpse 3 evolved into a Vivillon!
I talk to these fashionable people who tell me to walk a little further. I do and I arrive in Lumiose City.
The city lights mimic the stars swirling above in the night sky. The clean streets host a busy nightlife with shops, screens, and cars illuminating the beautiful sight. The general air floods the city with a soft and romantic energy, filling all those who can see its splendor.
I slowly skate down the street, passing a Furfrou that's running around some trees that were planted to give the city more life. I soon arrive at the Sycamore Pokemon Lab and am introduced to Professor Sycamore. I must say that he is a handsome man. Everyone in Kalos seems to be attractive and I'm okay with that.
Sycamore thanks me for coming to meet him and is happy to know I've seen twenty-nine pokemon so far. He explains that he wanted to give someone who had just moved to the region a chance to explore it. Shauna then comes and ruins the mood. Oh, she brought Calem too.
He greets them and then decides to battle us. This should be fun.
His first pokemon is Bulbasaur and I start with Mr. Cough who burns the plant frog alive. It really doesn't take much. His next Pokemon is Squirtle so I switch to Corpse 3 who gets tackled once out. Corpse uses infestation to get that repeated damage and tanks another tackle. It doesn't take too long before the Squirtle falls to Struggle Bug. Sycamore then sends out Charmander so I switch to Curtis. Ember does decent damage and leaves Curtis burned, I forget he's not a water type yet. I switch back to Mr. Cough and decide to fight fire with fire. He uses smokescreen three times though so the fight takes longer than desired. However, we make it out with no casualties.
Sycamore is impressed with my battling abilities and decides to give me a starter from Kanto and I, of course, pick Bulbasaur to fill out my team's coverage. I name her Dolphin 2. I then get a Mega Stone for her. Nice!
I go back to the first floor and see another attractive man with fire for hair. Not really but his hair is orange and shaped like fire. It's really cool and his suit is so nice. Like, it fits on him perfectly and ugggh everyone in this region looks so good.
He introduces himself to me as Lysandre and I love him. This is the best region so far. He wants to make this world beautiful but like... it already is. I think I've made that very clear.
Oop- I forgot they call me Tooth Eater. Wow that name sucks... and I love it. Anyway, Calem wants to meet me in Cafe Soleil to talk about something. I wonder what it could be!
While in the cafe, I meet Diana the movie star! She's talking to Lysandre who is like, "You looked good playing a young girl. Wanna do that forever?" and she just like, "haha wtf?"
Anyway, after they leave, Calem asks to be my rival and decides that I said yes before I said anything. That's cool though. Not like I have opinions.
I start to leave the city when Tierno calls me on my Holo Caster. He tells me to get to Route 5 which means a new encounter! I get to the route, skating as fast as possible and I run directly into a Lucario in the overworld. It's not my encounter.
A skating lady apologizes before leaving. Lucario likes me.
I run to the grass for my encounter and find a Furfrou! Do I catch him? Yes! He's part of the team now and I'm naming him Seaweed 7.
