The Lumiose City Gym

Hi. Hello. Welcome. I've come to realize I'm actually in love with Professor Sycamore. Like it's gotten beyond my love for characters like N.

Anyway, Professor Sycamore's boyfriend, Lysandre, calls me to congratulate me on my ability to use Mega Evolution. Who's gonna tell him?

Time for Route 13 and I catch a Trapinch which could be incredible!! I name him Bottom because I am still simping.

I head towards the power plant because Lumiose City is dark and our bad human eyes can't see in the dark! So I defeat a lot of Team Flare grunts with Mr. Cough and Curtis and am doing really well... until a Golbat lands a strong hit on Porgk and we lose him. Eggball avenges him but... it still hurt.

I really loved Porgk so I'm sad his time was cut short. With a heavy heart, I bring out Bottom and he joins the team to fill in as our ground type. Not to mention that Mr. Cough has evolved into a Delphox! Also, Bottom is now a Vibrava! This is a good time.

Inside the power plant, Seaweed 7 takes out a Team Flare grunt who was very annoying to deal with, and then the grunt just decides to not move, blocking us from a path! Like, sir, I was going to go that way and you're still there. Very rude of him.

Bottom and Mr. Cough saw Seaweed have all that fun and wanted in on it so they helped take down some other grunts too. While fighting them, however, I made a mistake, and Bottom... over-leveled and cannot participate in the gym battle.

Anyway, Curtis defeats the Team Flare grunts and frees the power plant so now it's time to head back to Lumiose City! I start on my way and uhh... ooh... oooooh that's a tall man.

"The Pokemon... The flower Pokemon," he says, looking away from me. "The Pokemon that was given eternal life..." The mystery man then walks away and I'm... confused? He has a good height but seems strange. Huh.

Back to my gym challenge!

I arrive in the beautiful city of stars, Lumiose City! I have missed this place. It's even prettier than I remember.

Shauna sings my name as she greets me and joins me as we watch Prism Tower light up. We get closer to the tower and meet the gym leader, Clemont! He seems familiar... almost like I watched an entire anime with him and am now fed up with him. Let's kick his butt.

I enter the gym, take the quiz, and reach the top where the battle with Clemont begins!

His first Pokemon is Emolga and I, being the researcher that I am, start with Hetatoma. Hetatoma uses Rock Tomb and gets Emolga down to half HP before getting hit with Volt Switch.

Magneton comes out and Hetatoma uses Bone Rush and takes out Magneton in one turn. Heliolisk then comes out and meets the same fate. Emolga is sent back out and is swiftly killed by Rock Tomb.

And they said I should watch out for Clemont.

With that victory, I earned the Voltage Badge and get the TM for Thunderbolt! Eggball is going to learn that right now.
