The Snowbelle City Gym

I exit the gym and Calem runs to me, wanting to fight. Problem is, we get a broadcast from Lysandre saying that Team Flare is reviving the ultimate weapon to eliminate anyone who isn't in their group. They're going to make the world beautiful again... but I hope you all understand by now that I think this world is already beautiful. Let's beat him up!

I was training the new team members and ended up finding the Lost Hotel. Here I get an encounter. It's Klefki! His name is Keyden because the only person I could get to respond was my mom so she got to name it. She did a good job too.

Alright so... I bet you're wondering who will be filling the spots in my team. Allow me to tell you!

My team is:

Mr. Cough the Delphox.
Seaweed 7 the Furfrou.
Sundial the Marowak.
Felipe the Victreebel.
Reginbald the Delibird.
Keyden the Klefki.

I think this is a very good-looking team and will prove to be quite useful.

I fly to Lumiose City, enter Lysandre Cafe, and start throwing hands. Sundial and Keyden defeat the grunts guarding the entrance.

Lysandre greets me as I enter Lysandre Labs and I grab him by the neck and tell him to fight me.

His first pokemon is Meinfoo and I start with Mr. Cough whose Psyshock takes it out pretty quickly. What even is Meinfoo? I've never asked this until now but what the heck is it?

Anyway, Gyarados is out and I switch to Seaweed 7. Gyarados hits him with Aqua Tail but we're still going strong. Seaweed uses return before tanking another Aqua Tail. One last Return is enough and Gyarados is down. That thing is scary.

Pyroar is next and I switch to Sundial, who is hit by Fire Blast during the switch but she's okay.  Fire Blast hits again and I watch as her health bar goes down fast and I watch as it gets to the end... and stops at 1 HP. 

Bonemerage hits once, doing less than half, before deciding to crit on the way back. Pyroar falls and Murkrow comes out.

I swap in Keyden as Murkrow uses Foul Play. It's not very effective.  Murkrow hits with Steel Wing but it does nothing. The shining beams of light that are Dazzling Gleam erupt from Keyden and Murkrow can't take it. He falls to the ground and we've earned a victory against Lysandre.

While fighting my way through the sea of grunts, Mr. Cough learned Psychic which is so good.

Anyway, I fought all the Team Flare ladies. Celosia, Bryony, Mable, and... the other one.

Eventually, I get the elevator key and reach the second floor and find Lysandre talking to that incredibly tall man I met before. The man tells me the story of the Pokemon War that occurred long ago.

I paid no attention because I'm dealing with my own war right now, okay? I am eating a Cosmic Brownie so leave me alone.

Oh, the tall man is named AZ, apparently. Also, Lysandre just told me to... follow him to his chamber. Umm...

I follow him and there's another dude. Oh, I was not aware that this was for a battle. Lysandre should be much clearer next time.

So, Xerosic sends out Crobat and I send out Mr. Cough. One Psychic from Mr. Cough and the bat is dead. Yay! Next is Malamar and this thing has Retaliate so I switch to Shnarmp the Nidorino just in case he tries anything funny. Shnarmp comes out and is hit by Payback.

Shnarmp is dead.

Welp, I have the key to victory. It's Keyden! I hate myself for that joke too. 

Anyway, Keyden uses Dazzling Gleam and almost kills Malamar before tanking a Superpower. One Play Rough later, and Malamar goes down. We won the fight, obviously.
