Pokemon Y Nuzlocke

The Courmarine City Gym

I walk onto Route 12 where I am gifted a Lapras! I name him Cuthp and we love him. That is a gift Pokemon and I don't count that as my encounter, so I also find a Tauros. His name is Curthp.

I arrive in... a town and get a call from Calem. I really need to pay more attention to these town names instead of just charging through. 

Oh, it's Courmarine City. That was fast. At the train station, I meet the Sycamore and the champion. I can't remember her name, and I will not look it up! I don't care that much.

I ride the monorail and start to go into the gym but Calem stops me for a battle.

His first Pokemon is Meowstic and mine is Mr. Cough but I switch to Porgk. Meowstic used Light Screen during the switch so no damage was dealt. I use Embargo to ensure no healing will happen and then munch munch the psychic. He survives the Bite and  I swap to Seaweed 7 who finishes him off with... well Bite.

Absol is next so I switch Hetatoma. Absol hits us with Slash during the switch but it's whatever. One Power-Up Punch... TWO Power-Up Punches later and Absol goes down.

With only Frogadier left, I switch to Eggball who tanks a Water Pulse but becomes confused! Oh no! Luckily, Eggball manages to power through and land two attacks before I have to switch her out. Curtis comes out and takes down the Frogadier with Double-Edge. 

That's one dead frog.

Anyway, I walk into the gym and clear out the trainers. Now it's time for the gym leader.

Ramos's first pokemon is Jumpluff and I start with Eggball. Eggball howls while getting leech seeded. She uses Spark and it does decent damage. Jumpluff uses Acrobatics constantly which is annoying but Eggball does kill it with Spark, barely surviving.

Ramos then sends out Gogoat, really jumping the gun and getting right to his ace, and I switch to Mr. Cough. Mr. Cough is hit by Bulldoze and now he's at 24 HP. Yeah that's no good so let's switch to Seaweed 7. Seaweed is hit by Take Down but it does barely anything and Gogoat gets hurt from his rocky helmet. Seaweed uses Return and does good damage before tanking a Bulldoze. Furfrou is a good pokemon and we should talk about it more. See? He just killed Gogoat and didn't even go to half HP!

Anyway, last is Weepinbell and I decide to see what Seaweed can do. He hits the plant with Return and gets him into the red. Ramos heals Weepinbell but that can't save him.  Two Headbutts later and Weepinbell is down while Seaweed 7 is still about half HP. 

You can't beat my dog. He is too strong.

And with that killer performance, I've earned the Plant Badge. I didn't even get to sweep with Mr. Cough which was surprising.
