What is this familiar feeling? [XIAOTHER]

Chapter 9: "I need some help..."

It's been a few months since that day. A day they'll never forget. But, a lot of things have happened throughout the months. Aether had to close his shop down. It wasn't making enough money to keep the place going. He was devastated. After all those years, he had to shut it down in the end.

'knock knock'
"Xiao! Can you get the door?" Aether shouted from another room.
"On it" Xiao stood up from the couch and walked to the door. Slightly opening it, he poked his head out to see who it was.
"Hey Xiao! Is Aether here?"
Lumine and Aether haven seen each other for a while. Lumine has been busy with college while Aether is busy with trying to get a job for the money.
"Oh, hey Lumine" Xiao then opened the door to let her in.
She but down her bag on the counter.
"Where's Aether?"
"Who's at the door Xiao?!" Aether shouted from another room.
"Lumine came to visit." Xiao replied.
Aether poked his head out from the other room.
"Lumine!"
He ran over to her and hugged her.
"Hey Aether! Did ya miss me?" Lumine giggled.
"Of course I did! It's been so long!" Aether continued to hold Lumine.
"Haha! okay okay! if you hug me any tighter, i'm gonna suffocate!"
Aether let her go.
"How have you been? You've been so busy lately."
"Ah, well- when you're a college student like me, you are far too busy is assignments" Lumine said jokily.
"Haha! Well, i'm glad you're here!"
Aether smiled.
Xiao came up behind Aether and grabbed his waist.
"Would you like for me to make tea for you guys?"
Xiao kissed Aether's head.
"Sure, I could go for some tea." Lumine sat down at the counter.
"Thank you Xiao~!" Aether kissed Xiao then went to sit next to Lumine.

While Xiao was making the tea, Aether and Lumine were catching up. Talking about things that have happened over the past few months.
"Tea is ready."
Xiao placed two cups of tea for Aether and his twin. Both thanked him.
"So Xiao.. how have you been?" Lumine looked at Xiao.
"..it's been great." Xiao sipped is tea slowly.
"Ahem.. when's the wedding?" Lumine said bluntly while sipping her tea.
Aether choked on his.
"L-Lumine!" Aether became flustered.
"What?! I'm just curious!"
"You can't just say that so blunt-"
"We'll get married once we're both ready.."
The twins looked at Xiao. He looked away.
"pfft- hahaha!" Aether started laughing.
"It's been so long since i've seen you this fluster Xiao!"
"When was the last time?" Lumine questioned.
"It was the first-" Aether suddenly remembered.
His face became red and he looked away, drinking his tea.
"The first what?! oh come on, you can't leave it there!" Lumine complained.
"I-It's nothing! Forget I said anything"
"hmm... well, if you say so"

The room became quiet. It was quiet until Lumine spoke up to break the awkward tension.
"That's right! I have something for you two!" Lumine reached into her bag.
"What is it?" Aether leaned against her shoulder to see what it was.
"Ta-da~! isn't it cool!?"
She pulled out something that looked like a card.
"What is it-?" Aether looked at Lumine, visibly confused.
"It's a pass to the Lantern Rite! I wanted you guys to have some fun!" Lumine smiled.
"The Lantern Rite?! Ah, it's my favorite event!" Aether suddenly became excited.
"What do you say Xiao? Can we go?" Aether looked at Xiao.
He didn't say anything. Just have a simple nod.
Aether got up and tightly held Xiao.
"Thank you Thank you! I'll make sure this'll be the best time of your life."
Xiao smiled.
"Well, I should get going now. I still have to work on the project."
Lumine stood up and grabbed her bag.
"Thanks for the tea Xiao."
"..mhm."
"Bye Lumine! good luck on the project!" Aether waved goodbye.
Lumine waved back, then walked out the door.
"..What should we do now?" Aether asked.
Xiao grabbed Aether's hand and walked to the bedroom. Xiao gently placed Aether onto the bed.
"X-Xiao?! What are you-"
Aether was cut off by Xiao's lips meeting his.
"I want to have some fun.. is that okay?"
Aether's face turned a light red. He looked away, embarrassed.
"O-Only once.."
Xiao smirked.
"I can't promise anything."

"Ugh.. my legs are sore.."
Aether looked at Xiao, his cheeks puffed up.
"Sorry.. I couldn't hold back."
"Hmph, you're lucky that I love you"
Xiao chuckled. He gave Aether a light kiss on his forehead.
"Get some rest. I'll be in bed in a few minutes."
"Hm? Is something wrong?"
Aether looked at Xiao, curiously.
"I just need to make a call.. don't worry."
Aether shrugged and got comfy in the bed. He quickly fell asleep.
Xiao smiled, then walked out to the living room, closing the bedroom door behind him.
He grabbed his phone out of his pocket, and put it up at his ear.
"Hey.. yeah, he's asleep now."
It was quiet.
"He's going out tomorrow. Once he leaves, you can come over."
