Ten POV
"Ten. You're staring."
I saw something move in front of my view of Johnny, and I slapped it away. He was stretching, and all the muscles in his body flexed beautifully. His shirt lifted up, and the bottom of what had to be an impressive set of abs peaked out. Someone grabbed my shoulders and shook me. I turned around and glared at them, who turned out to be Lisa.
"What?" I snapped.
"You were staring at Johnny, and I think he noticed."
"What?!"
My head spun in Johnny's direction and I saw him looking at me. A smirk appeared on his face, and I turned back around to Lisa.
"He looked at me," I said quietly.
"I know," Lisa replied.
We heard the door close and saw Mr. Lee skip into the room. He twirled once before sitting on the floor.
"Hi everyone!" He beamed. "Isn't it a beautiful day?"
"Did a fairy piss in his coffee?" Yugyeom whispered.
"Weirder things have happened," I replied.
"I've decided that we should have a group project. You'll be paired with a partner and draw a style of dance from a bowl. But first," Mr. Lee got down a hat from a shelf, "Draw a name, and that's your partner. You first.....Lisa!"
Lisa went up and shuffled around the names before picking one, "Shotaro."
It went on like that for a bit. Yugyeom was paired with Momo. YangYang was paired with Bahiyyih. A few more pairs were selected, and I was second to last. That left either Johnny, Rosé, or Jongin as my partner. I stuck my hand in the hat and pulled out the first paper I touched.
"Johnny," I read.
Taeyong clasped his hands together, "Perfect! That means Rosé and Jongin are partners. Now the other partner will pick a style of dance. Johnny, you go first."
I gave Johnny a shy smile as he passed me, and he returned it. Taeyong pulled out a fishbowl and Johnny drew a slip of paper from it.
"Contemporary," Johnny read his slip.
"Yay!" I love that style of dance.
Shotaro drew hip hop. Both Momo and Bahiyyih drew modern. Rosé drew a slip, and pumped her fists in the air when she saw it was jazz.
"Feel free to do any choreography that relates back to your selected style," Me. Lee said. "Use the rest of class to plan, and there's a sign up sheet for using the studio by the door."
I scooted over to where Johnny was sitting and tapped him on the shoulder. He put the slip in his pocket and turned to face me.
"What were you thinking we should do?" He asked me.
"I was thinking that we should do the choreography from the music video to 'Thinking Out Loud' by-"
"-Ed Sheeran," Johnny said.
"Yeah."
"I like that. It'll be fun."
"I teach lessons at a studio in the city, so we could practice there and not have to worry about a sign up sheet. Could you meet me there tomorrow at 5?"
"Sure," Johnny smiled, and I'm sure my cheeks turned pink.
"Oh and by the way," Mr. Lee called out, "you'll be performing whatever you chose to do at a regional competition."
"YOU'RE JUST NOW TELLING US?!" The whole class exclaimed.
