Ten and Johnny probably shouldn't have picked a love song for their project. But that's mostly for Ten's sake.
Ten couldn't seem to focus. His pulse raced when Johnny took his hand, and he was certain that it wasn't good for his health. His steps lagged when their eyes met, and Ten was growing frustrated. He was great, everyone knew that, but he wasn't living up to his potential. And it was all because of the tall bastard who had just dropped him.
"I'm so sorry," Johnny said as he helped the smaller up.
"I-It's fine," Ten replied, and he felt the shock that came from Johnny's touch race through his body.
"Should we run that again?" Johnny asked.
"Johnny! Ten! Renjun said you two were here."
They turned to see Taeyong enter the room. He looked at the scene of Johnny's hands holding Ten's, and he smirked.
"Don't even try, Taeyong," Ten growled.
"Try what?" Taeyong said innocently.
Johnny looked between the two, who seemed to be having a mental argument that only they could understand. Ten rolled his eyes and shooed Taeyong out of the studio.
"Have fun~~," Taeyong sang before Ten slammed the door.
"He's been wayyyy more annoying since he got a boyfriend, so just ignore him," Ten said.
Johnny laughed, "I'm friends with the guy he's dating. He was going on and on about Mr. Lee's eyes."
"Couples. Always trying to make us feel how single we are."
"You're single?" Johnny asked.
"Sadly," Ten said.
"Hm," Is all Johnny said.
Ten blushed and hurried over to his starting spot, "L-Let's run that again."
Johnny smirked and took his place across from Ten. This run through was smoother, and Johnny didn't drop Ten. They worked on lifts that would come later in the routine, and Ten showed off his skills for his mini solo. They were both exhausted, so they decided to call it a day. They walked out of the building side by side, and Johnny turned to Ten.
"I had fun today," He said.
"Me too," Ten replied. "I think the routine will come together nicely.
A car behind Johnny honked its horn, and Johnny sighed, " Sorry. My friend is notoriously impatient. See you tomorrow?"
"Definitely."
Johnny climbed into the sleek black car and waved to Ten through the window as the driver sped off. Ten pulled out his phone and pulled up the group chat with Lisa, Yugyeom, and BamBam.
