Renjun POV
"Alright guys," Mr. Kim said. "There's only a few minutes left of class, so I'm gonna tell you about your group project now."
The class groaned, but I saw Jeno and Jaemin exchange a hopeful look. Part of me was sad, because I knew they'd be each other's partner. I sighed and looked around for someone to pair up with.
"You and no more than two other partners will be writing a short story. Each person will be emailed a prompt, and you can choose the one the group likes best to write about. Use the rest of class to get into groups and brainstorm. Or not," Mr. Kim plopped down into his seat, "I don't care."
I resumed scanning the room and made eye contact with the new girl. She had dark hair, and the front of it was dyed pink. She was really pretty, and she smiled shyly when our eyes met. She gestured between us, silently asking to partner up, and before I could respond, Jaemin and Jeno blocked my view of her.
"Wanna be partners, Junnie-hyung?" Jaemin asked.
Before I could reply, I saw the pink haired girl walk up beside them. Jaemin looked at her with a confused expression.
"Hi," She said to me. "I'm Jennie."
Realization dawned on me, "You're that famous idol trainee!"
Jennie smiled, "That's me. Do you wanna be partners?"
"Um..."
I looked between Jennie and Jaemin. Jaemin was giving me his best puppy eyes, and when he saw his boyfriend wasn't doing the same, he nudged his side. I looked at Jeno, and his facial expression made my heart flutter against my will. His face was blank, but his eyes were begging me to choose them. I sighed and looked up and Jennie.
"I'm sorry," I said to her.
"It's fine. Those two were staring you down once he said we could work with partners. I didn't think I had much of a chance."
"See you around?" I asked her.
She picked up a pen that lay beside my notebook and wrote what I assumed was her number on the corner of the paper, "Yup. Text me if you want."
Jennie left to find a partner, and Jaemin did a little dance.
"Junnie is our partner!" He sang.
"Class dismissed," Mr. Kim called out.
I was gathering my stuff when I felt two arms wrap themselves around my waist. We walked out of the lecture hall and down the hallway. People stared at us, but I couldn't blame them. I would've done the same thing if I saw the happy power couple of the school touching a random student like they do to each other.
"Is this okay?" Jeno's voice whispered in my ear. His voice and his lips when they brushed against my ear sent shivers down my spine.
"Y-Yes," I stuttered.
Jaemin smiled at me, and I realized how beautiful he was. I had never paid much attention before, for fear of becoming one of his brainless followers. But he was stunning, and Jeno was the same way.
Jeno's driver was parked outside the campus, and we slid into the car that probably cost more than my parents' house. They each took one ofy hands and laced their fingers through mine.
"May I ask why you're doing all of this?" I asked. "Aren't you two dating each other?"
"We are," Jeno said.
"But we both want to date you as well," Jaemin smiled.
I tried to free my hands from their grip to cover my blushing face, but the couple held on tight.
"He's blushing, Nono," Jaemin said to his boyfriend.
"How cute," Jeno cooed.
Our new character is Queen Jennie!!! I'm not going to just mention her once and leave it at that, so y'all will be seeing more of her in this book.
Also what do y'all think of Norenmin? They're my second favorite NCT ship, so I want to do them justice. You will also see more of them.
You will see more of Chensung. I don't know when, since I haven't planned that far ahead, but they will appear again.
Finally (y'all are probably like "angel_mingi what else do you have to talk about?!") I was wondering if when I end this book if y'all would want to see a mini book(s) going more in depth into each relationship. I'd probably get working on those soon and post them after this is finished. If y'all want to see it, let me know which ship you want to see, so I can go by the majority (since I'm indecisive 🤪)
