Chapter 6

Griffins POV
"So let me get this straight-" Michael started. "Not only did you fail to retrieve the flash drive but you also, blew up a building, failed to work as a team, and alerted the media that you were there!?" He yelled. "We alerted the media?" Pitch asked. He turned on the tv.

Breaking news
"The Techno Bandits have been spotted at the bombing that happened recently. Suspects believe that they were indeed the cause of the buildings downfall" the woman said.

"You should know better" he said. "It wasnt a total downfall" I said. He looked at me. I held up a flash drive. "What is that?" He asked. "The file you wanted" I handed it to him. The girls stared at me in shock. "How?" He asked. "I hacked the mainframe and stole the file. It was quite simple honestly" I said. Hazel, Pyro and Harper looked at each other and then at me. They look mad. Not that I care. "Very good Griffin. The rest of you should thank Griffin for her work today. Her success has postponed your punishment" he walked away. "Way to go Griff" Pitch high-fived me. Pyro grumbled something and went upstairs to take a shower. "Um hello? Why didn't you tell us to back off the mission once you had the file?" Harper asked. "Uh because by the time I got it, YOU had already set off the alarm" I said. Harper huffed and stomped upstairs. Hazel stared at me for a moment and then went upstairs. "I don't know what's up with them lately" Pitch said. "Who knows?" I asked. "Hey, why were the maps and the coms not working today?" She asked. "Uhh" I scratched my head trying to think of something. "They were working on my screen. I don't know why they weren't working for you guys. Ill have to take a look at your gear" I said. She seemed hesitant with my answer. I couldn't look her in the eye. I cant risk Pitch getting hurt because of me. "Ok" she said. I can tell she didn't believe me. I'm gonna have to hide a lot better next time.

Harpers POV
I walked into Pyros room. She's hanging by her feet from the ceiling on her phone. The LED lights in the room are changing color while she listens to the gayest playlist I've ever heard. "Well this explains why you didn't hear me knock" I said. She dropped from the ceiling and turned down the music. "What's up?" She asked. "Come with me" I said. She followed.

We walked into Hazels room. Pyro shut her door. "I told you to leave the door open" she said. "You're shaking" I said. She held her hands together. We all sat on her bed. "We all suspect something with Griffin right?" I asked. They nodded. "Great, before we talk about this I want to say sorry. I'm sorry that I got carried away. I just didn't want Griffin to take my place" I said. "No one can take your place Harper. You're one of a kind" Pyro said, sitting in my lap and hugging me. "Thanks Pyro. Do you want to share what's going on?" I asked. Pyro looked at her hands. "Well, I haven't been yelled at since I was eight. Not by anyone that wasnt my dad at least. I guess you just scared me" Pyro got off me. "I'm sorry I yelled at you" Hazel said. "Do you want to share Hazel?" I asked. She took a deep shaky breath. "Um, I've been really scared lately. I just have this feeling that everything's out to get me" she looked down. "Hazel? You can tell us the truth" Pyro said. A tear went down Hazel's face and she wiped it. "Ok um, the other day, I was suspicious of Griffin so I snuck into her room and when she found me she um... she..." she started to cry. We scooted closer and held her. "Its ok" I tried to calm her down. She squeezed Pyros hand tightly. "You can do it Hazel" I said. "She told me what she was planning and to shut me up she ... she raped me" hazel said. Pyro and I looked at each other. "How did we not hear that?" I asked. "You were downstairs working on your daggers, and you were working on a bomb" Hazel said. We held onto Hazel tightly. "We're here for you Hazel. Do you want us to tell Michael?" I asked. "No! No he already knows" she said. "What?" I asked. "He told her to do it" she said. Fear shot through Pyro. "What did he say?" Pyro asked. "He's setting us up. He's been working with this organization of spy's who kill everyone that gets in their way. He recruited Griffin to work for him and that's why we failed today. Griffin disabled our coms, she messed up our maps, and she made sure we wouldn't be able to get that file" she said. Pyro held her face in her hand. I held her other hand.

Pitch's POV
I stood behind the door in shock. After today, I wanted to check on hazel since she seemed out of it but now I understand. I knew Griffin was acting weird but I pushed it aside because I didn't want to believe that my sister could be an enemy. I knocked on the door. "Who is it?" Hazel asked. "Its me" I said. "Come in" she said. I walked in and sat on the bed with them. Pyro and Hazel were trying not to cry. I pulled Hazel into me. She was confused but accepted my embrace. "I heard everything" I said. They all looked at me. "Its time that we confront Griffin" I said.
