Griffins POV
MESA is our organization. I don't even know what it stands for. I walked into Michaels office. "You wanted to see me?" I asked. "Take a seat Griffin" he said. I sat down and put my feet on his desk. "You know we've been successful in our mission ever since the girls left" he said. "Yeah, not having to live in seclusion is sooo much better" I said. "Yes, well we've hit a wall" he said. "A what?" I asked. "Its a metaphor. We have a problem. An old friend of mine is... none too happy with me. I need a solution" he said. I raised an eyebrow. "Hey, I said old friend. I didn't say we were friends now" he said. I rolled my eyes. "What do you need with me? You want me to take him out?" I asked. "Not exactly. We cant kill him. We need the supplies his company makes" he said. "So our supplier is mad at you?" I asked. He went to speak but then the door opened. "Hell yeah he is. That's why I'm here" a woman walked in. I looked at her. She's my height, has dark grey eyes, with long black hair cascading down her back. She wore black ripped jeans with her grey t-shirt tucked in. Her belt was secured tightly around her thin waist and she had black and white converses. She's by far the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. "Who are you?" Michael asked sternly. "I'm Gerald's daughter" she said. "He sent you as a messenger?" Michael asked. "He thinks I can find some sort of solution while I'm here for the next few days" she said. "And your name is?" He asked. "I'm Lex" she said. I stood up. "Griffin" I held out my hand. She shook it. Staying professional is hard when she's so hypnotizing. "Michael, I'll show Lex everything she needs to see. That way you can focus on your other work. Besides maybe it'd be better for you to take on someone your own size" I said, turning to Lex half way through. She smirked. "Is that a challenge? I doubt that you have what it takes to fight me" she said. "Who said anything about fighting?" I asked innocently. She laughed. Such a sweet sound. "We'll see about that" she said. "Fine, Griffin you will be Lex's escort. Don't get into too much trouble please" Michael said. "No promises" Lex and I said in unison. We looked at each other and chuckled.

"Why are you giving me a tour? I only need to scout out for a few days" Lex said. "Because then you know where things are" I said. I stopped and she turned to face me. "This is gonna be your favorite room" I said with a laugh. We walked in. "Welcome to close combat 101" I said. Weapons lined the walls of a round room. The center empty. "I bet this is your favorite room" she said. "Yeah, you wanna see if you can beat me?" I asked. She laughed. "That's not even a question. I will beat you" she said confidently. I grabbed two bo staffs and tossed her one. She caught it and smirked. "Lets do this" she said. We circled around the room. I made the first strike and she blocked. "Wow, you are strong. Not strong enough though" she pushed me back and struck at me multiple times. I blocked them all and was backed into the wall. She struck and I held up the stick. It took all my force to push her away. She chuckled. "I see why Michael likes you" she said as I walked closer to her. I swung around her and she ducked every swipe. She made one final blow and I held up my guard. We stood like that. I cant push her off. She's too strong. She smirked and winked at me. It took me off guard and she swung her leg around mine to trip me. She poked the bo staff into my chest. I groaned. "That, is why you lose, because I don't get distracted" she said, removing the staff from my chest. She reached her hand out to me. I grabbed it and pulled her down to me. She looked shocked. "Don't tell me how to do my job. I'm stronger than you think I am" I growled. "I doubt that" she snickered. "You don't know me. You don't know what I've been through for this job and you will never be as good as me" I snarled. She smirked. "You're right. I'll be better" she said. I pushed her away and stood up fixing my shirt. I stomped to the wall to put the bo staffs away. "Don't be so moody. Its not my fault you're a sissy" she said. I stopped all movement. Tears threatened to fall but I pushed them back. "Lets get back to the tour" I ordered. She raised an eyebrow at me and followed.

"This is the filing room. Everything is in here. I'm sure you'll love it" I rolled my eyes. "Can I?" She asked gesturing to the computer. I logged in and she sat down. "Just don't break anything" I said. She typed some things and I wasnt paying attention. I glanced over and saw my profile on the screen. She closed the file and clicked the one next to it. It was locked. "Why is this file locked?" She asked. My breathing picked up. "Only two people hold the password" I said. "That doesn't answer my question, does it?" She asked. "Those are ex agents. Their files are off limits" I said. "So obviously Michael has the password. Whos the other person?" She asked. "That's none of your business and you don't need to see that file!" I yelled. She stood up and got close to me. Her face inches from mine. "Open the file, Sissy" she smirked at the last word. I sighed and opened the file. She sat back down and went through each of the Techno Bandits. She stopped on Pitch. She sat up a little and slowly spun the chair to face me. "Did I offend you?" She asked. "Why would you offend me?" I asked. She stood up and got close to me again. She backed me into the wall. Her grey eyes staring into my soul. "Did I offend you?" She asked, pointing back at my sister. My breathing picked up and I fought back the tears. "You... had no right... to see that" I said between heavy breaths. She tilted her head. "Look at you. So much potential but so broken. You need to be fixed" she said, putting her hands on either side of my face. A tear escaped my eye and she wiped it with her thumb. "Now, why don't you tell me what happened with them" she said calmly. "I cant. Its classified" I said, almost whining. "Then lets go somewhere more private" she said. I nodded.

We're in my room. I don't have much but I have a bed and a desk. That's all I really need. We sat on my bed. I told her exactly what happened. "You miss her?" She asked. I looked down. "We didn't have a lot growing up. Just each other. Until Michael found us in highschool. She's everything to me" I said. "So even though she betrayed you, you still care?" She asked. I laughed and nodded. "She didn't betray me. I betrayed them" I admitted. "Are you on their side?" She asked stunned. "No. I know they're out there looking for this place right now. I will lead them away but I wont fight them and I refuse to kill them. They're my family and they always will be" I said. There was a short silence. "You're very smart Griffin" she said. "You're very strong Lex" I mocked. She smiled. She leaned closer to me and softly kissed my cheek. My face grew red. "I think I found what I was looking for here" she smiled. I smiled back. "Promise you wont tell Michael what I told you?" I asked. She nodded. "Its our secret, Sissy" she said. I laughed and hit her arm.
