Chapter 15

Hazels POV
We found out that MESA is going to an Opera house to assassinate someone. I hate Opera. It sounds like screaming to me. "You're a hypocrite" Pitch said. "Why?" I asked. "You listen to heavy metal! That's practically screaming" she said. I shrugged. "But that doesn't make me want to die. That is relaxing" I said. "You and I have very different views of relaxing" she said. "Whatever. Harper is Pyro ready to go?" I asked. "Yep she's feeling better and is ready to place the bomb" Harper said. "Ok lets go over the plan" I said. We nodded and looked at Pyro. "You want me to say the plan?" She asked. We nodded. She smiled. "Hazel will go backstage undercover and watch for anything bad. You also let Pitch and Harper in" she said. "And then?" Pitch asked. "Pitch will hook Harper up to the zip line so she can move across the beams quickly and then Pitch will stand guard from above the stage" she said. "And how does the zip line get there?" Harper asked. "I put it along the beams before I set up the bomb" I said. "Good job Pyro. Lets go" I said.

"How am I getting in again?" Pyro asked. "You're in disguise with me. Now follow my lead. We cant mess this up" I said. She nodded. We snuck in the back door and went backstage. I handed her the backpack with her bomb and the zip lines. "Climb that ladder and go" I said. She nodded and started climbing the ladder. "Hey! What are you doing. The shows about to start. Get to the panels" a guy said. I ran to a side panel but I didn't do anything. People were rushing around backstage. After a few minutes, the show started and I was the only one backstage. There was two guys backstage but they were in awe of the opera singer. I opened the door so Pitch and Harper could come in. "Pyro is it set?" I asked over the coms. "Yeah. Harpers clip is on the panel right above the piano player" she said. Harper and Pitch climbed the ladder.

Pitch's POV
I hooked the clip onto Harper and she slid to the other side of the room. "This is kinda fun" Harper said over the coms. I laughed. I looked in the audience. My heart dropped. Pyro was right. She's alive and she's here... with a girl. They're holding hands. "H-harper" I stuttered. "I see them. Its ok Pitch. Calm down" she said. "I cant" I said. I'm gonna cry. "Im right there with you Pitch, but its ok. Just calm down" Hazel said. My eyes flashed around the room. Searching for anything else to look at. That's when I saw it. A guy on the panels. "Harper above you" I warned. I ran to the guy and kicked him. He caught my foot and twisted it. I jumped and swung around hitting him in face. He fell backwards and a gunshot went off. The opera singer was shot by the girl Griffins with. Everyone started running and screaming. "PYRO NOW!" We all yelled. The guy got up and swung at me. Harper started sliding back to the panel to get off. The bomb went off and the building started crumbling. The beams wobbled and the guy fell off and landed on the floor. He's definitely dead. Griffin and the girl looked up at me. Griffin and I made eye contact. I ran to the panel and waited for Harper so I could unclip her. "Hazel get them!" I yelled. Hazel ran onto the stage to be met with the girl. They started fighting. Griffin ran backstage. She went for the ladder but I heard a loud noise and saw her get hit into the wall. Pyro climbed the ladder. "Where's Harper?" She asked. I shrugged. "Girls!" Harper yelled. She's above the stage hanging from the beam. The clip had come undone and swung over to us. Hazel climbed the ladder. "We need to go!" She said. Griffin and the girl struggled to get up.

Pyros POV
The next explosion went off. Harper fell off the beam. As if everything was in slow motion I grabbed the clip, clipped myself, and jumped off the panel. "Pyro!" The girls yelled. I caught Harper and we spun in circles fast making everything around us blurry. "Are you crazy!?" Harper yelled holding onto me. "Yes!" I said. She stared at me for a minute before she smiled and kissed me.

Hazels POV
"Are they seriously making out right now!" I yelled. "Who cares. Look" Pitch said. Griffin and the girl are up. We slid down the ladder and ran after them. "I thought you died" Pitch said. "You should know better Pitch. I'm stronger than one explosion" Griffin said. "Whos your friend?" I asked punching her. She came back at me. "Ha! Don't be jealous Hazel. Just cause I found a new play thing" Griffin said. "Id like to say I found you" the girl said looking at Griffin. Anger flushed through me. I ran to Griffin and kicked her in the face. "You asshole!" I yelled. "Lex we need to go" Griffin said. "Where are you gonna go? You're surrounded" Pitch said. Griffin looked behind her to see Pyro and Harper. "Have a good make out session?" She asked. They blushed but held their ground. "You wouldn't hurt me Pitch. You cant" Griffin smirked. Another explosion went off. Everything's coming down. Pitch looks lost. "She cant but I can" Pyro launched at her. Lex kicked Pyro off, grabbed Griffin, and they ran out the back. "Lets bounce Bandits!" I yelled.

We're driving home. "You had to start making out?" I asked. They blushed and giggled. "Sorry" Pyro said. "Looks like we have a new power couple" Pitch said. They smiled at each other. I looked at Pitch, who was driving. "Are you ok? You looked lost" I said. "I'm ok. I just wasnt prepared to see her. I wont hesitate next time" she said. I held her hand and squeezed it. "We will stop them" I assured her. She nodded.
