Chapter 15: Traitor

"Well well. Who have we got here?" Jet cooed annoyingly. Frost walked slowly out into the open, outside the demon base, for he was better at fighting in open space.

When he got outside, it was his first time to actually see the demon's base, for he was sedated during his first trip.

The demon base was a tall proud structure made out of black and gray glass. It was about 12 stories tall. Tall trees were grown at the entrance of the base, all growing strong and big. A small garden was grown at the back of the base. The building showed happiness, unlike what happens inside...

Jet said, "Even though a magician never tells their tricks, I shall tell you mine. I made a secret tunnel at the back of my room, just behind my golden walls. I stand there, right behind the painting of me, Lord Jet Joon Jackson, and stare out of the peepholes of my glorious painting." Jet said with an evil smile.

"Uh. Why are you telling us all this?" Sky asked, the first to recover from the shock. "Oh, my dear Sky. Don't you already know? I am going to kill you, and you too, Juni." Jet cackled.

"Me too? Jet. You is not following the 5 rules of the demons!" Juniper argued.

"Oh. And what are they?" Jet asked with menace, but his smile flattered.

Juniper started reciting the rules:

"One, Never listen to other's secrets, and respect their privacy.

Two, Never dream of things that may hurt other demons.

Three, We have no emperor, no king! So we may live in freedom.

Four, Never kill another demon! For us demons live in harmony!

Five, We must obey these 5 rules, or we will perish within a rule keeper's hands."

Jet gulped, and said, "So? You expect I believe the old demon fairy tales?!"

Juniper gasped, "You dare say the 5 rule are "fairy tale"?"

"It's "fairy talessss" plural." Jet corrected.

"So? You are about to perish within a rules keeper's hands!" Juniper yelled.

"But who is the "rule keeper"? I'll say, if you find that animal, I will surrender to you." Jet spat.

"The rules keepers is me." Juniper answered readily, with a confident smile on her face.

"You?" Jet was surprised.

"Yes, as long as that demons follows the rules, as best as he or she can. I follows it as good as I can, and so I am a rules keeper. There, they is giving me permission to kill you!" Juniper snarled.

"Uh, let's keep things peaceful," Frost said as walked to stand between the two, "no killing, just putting someone in jail, or punishing someone... but never kill."

"Yeah. What Frost says is the truth, spoken with true wisdom. I agree," Sky said. Wow that boy is loyal.

"No killing?! What types of rule is that? The five rules clearly gives me permissions to kill Jet, right here! He broke so many rules. He brokes the first, not respecting other animal or demon privacy! And so many more!" Juniper stomped her feet and made a face.

"Do you like to kill?" Frost asked.

"No? I guess." Juniper replied.

"Then why do you wanna kill Jet?"

"Revenge! He alway claim there is no emperors, but he is actually the emperors!"

"Will it make you satisfied if you kill him? Have you tried to kill someone?"
