"Wake up Frost!" Sky hollered into Frost's face.
"Ugh." Frost muttered as he wiped away spit on his face. He opened his eyes and found Sky crouching (a.k.a. "fly-crouching") over him.
"What?" Frost grumbled.
"I'm waking you up!" Sky replied, "I've prepared breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. So we shall not worry about food. In the meantime, I want you to go brush your teeth and wash your face, whilst I pack up some snacks."
Frost rolled his eyes, and said, "Can't I sleep longer?"
"Said the person who didn't want to sleep last night." Sky spat, "C'mon! As an older animal, you're supposed to be a role-model! But right now, it is the complete opposite!"
"You're like my grandma." Frost muttered, as he reluctantly sat up.
He leaned into a nearby pond, and splashed water over his face. "What time did you wake?" Frost questioned.
"Sunrise." Sky replied.
Frost was so surprised he almost fell into the pond, "WHAT?!!" He hollered.
"Sunrise." Sky repeated.
"O-Kay..." Frost looked around, "Say, what do you think about going for a swim?"
"No way." Sky muttered nervously, "You go, birds do not swim."
"Or are you just scared?" Frost challenged, as he wiggled his eyebrows annoyingly.
"Oh come on!" Sky pushed Frost into the pond, and Frost squealed, as he pushed Sky into the pond as well.
Together, the two friends pushed a shoved water into each other, washing away all their grime and dirt from their journey before.
Soon after, the two calmed down as they floated around in the lake, enjoying each other's company and admiring the view.
The towering mountains were walls that protected the long, ribbon like stream, where Frost and Sky were bathing in. The brilliant blue sky shone. Trees lined up neatly beside the lake. It was beautiful.
"Do y-you feel cold?" Sky was starting to shiver.
"Nope," Frost replied.
"That's right, 'cause you a snow leopard." Sky muttered, as he flew out of the freezing river.
"Hm. Maybe." Frost muttered, as he too stepped out the river.
After drying off, they continued on their journey. "I don't think we need the bag Icicle gave me anymore. Since it's filled with... rubbish." Frost muttered.
"Yeah. Good idea bro. It will only slow us down." Sky agreed.
As they walked, Frost noticed his muscles were tired. His wings were stiff, and his claves were painful.
"You okay buddy?" Sky noticed his inconvenience.
"Yeah. Just muscle pain and stuff. I walk so slow, I do not know how to get to Brightest Night City in time." Frost muttered.
"Because of the demons' weapon, eh bud?" Sky questioned.
"Yeah." Frost replied.
They walked in silence for a while, from time to time admiring the beautiful view.
Just as Frost prepared to jump over a bush which was unhelpfully in his way, Sky suddenly yelled.
"What now mister?" Frost asked with a roll of his eye.
"Don't jump or you'll hurt yourself." Sky insisted.
"Aww. I can't believe you care so much about me! Mister S. Sky... you are such a great person!" Frost said sarcastically.
"Thank you!" Sky replied.
"I was being a sarcastic man!" Frost jokes.
"Ugh! Just... just don't move."
"Why? Mister Sky?"
"The dam." Sky whispered, eyes wide as saucers.
"Woah bud. Did you just say..." Frost was surprised.
"No that's not what I meant! I meant, a literal dam," Sky looked around helplessly, "without the n."
"H..." Frost muttered.
This time he saw it. The dam looked horrifying. It curved down miles and miles into literal blackness. Sharp thorns were engraved on the sides, and long thorns were seen at the bottomless pit. So if they fell... prepare to be pained. Splashes of dark red liquid were dried on the thorns, and it meant something Frost really didn't wanna talk about.
Now looking at it, Frost realised it was a deep gorge. Not a dam.
"It's a gorge, Sky," Frost said.
"It's a dam!" Sky insisted. "It's clearly "animal-made"! Or else why would there be so unnatural thorns below?"
"It is "animal-made", I cannot argue with you about that, but someone clearly wanted animals to die in this thing. The bushes were blocking my sight of this gorge." Frost muttered.
"I know! But gorges are natural things, you know?" Sky muttered. "Ugh, there are "animal-made" gorges, you know?" Frost sighed. "Ohhh. If you put it that way..."
"So. What should we do? Referring to the map, this is the... dev... hmm. Southeast... northwest... Aha! Devil's Waterfall!" Frost exclaimed. "Ooh... Devil's Waterfall... Ugh! This place still gives me the heeby jeebies!" Sky complained.
"IK." Frost replied.
"What does IK mean." Sky moaned.
"I know! Duh." Frost muttered.
"It means I know?" Sky muttered.
"Yeah. Anyway... since we're in "Horrorland", we should get going." Frost said.
"Good idea." Sky muttered.
Before they could act, a rustle sounded in the bushes.
"Um. Hello?" Frost yelled.
Slowly, a head emerged from the bushes.
It was a demon!
