' Yummy yummy BIRD FLESH!!!' The monstrous, golden eagle cackled with menace. ' Y-you'll be s-sorry for this...' Sky said, shivering in fear.
' Sorry for what? After all, I EAT birds. That's my food cycle.' The golden eagle said, her voice dripped with detest. ' You. Will. Be. Sorry.' Sky said, more confident somehow.
' My dearie, I will not, it's my food cycle. Dearie.' The golden bird replied once more. ' My name is Sky.' Sky gritted his teeth.
' Sorry, Sky. Now dearie. Just stay still, so your death can be quick, and easy.' Bronze's tiger gold eyes had a mad glint.
Sky nodded. Hopefully looking helpless. He had a plan. Now what he has to do is to play along with the act.
Sky closed his eyes, and tried to picture Frost. Frost was Search And Rescue after all, it's his job to save the citizens and maintain the peace. So, if only he could contact Frost right now... and ask him for help...
True. He had no contact device in his hands, but maybe... maybe there was another way...
Bronze grabbed Sky with one wing, opened her mouth... and...
... Meanwhile...
Frost felt a tingle go down his spine.
' Something's wrong... something wrong is about to happen...' He thought, his eyebrows furrowed, ' Whenever something wrong is about to happen, I feel a tingle go down my spine...'
After emperor Icicle left, Frost felt as moody as Judy Moody. All the emperor cares about is my safety, he always thought. But now, looking back, everything seems fishy, very fishy.
Frost tried to ignore the tingles on his spine, and focused on his meditation. Ever since the doctor visited, Frost had agreed with the doctor to meditate whenever he feels mad.
Breathe in... breathe out... breathe in... breathe out...
Frost tried to focus on his breathings. He was taller than the mountains... taller than the trees... he could see everything from above... including a giant golden eagle putting a macaw into her mouth...
Frost gasped in fear. He opened his eyes, and stood there, gobsmacked, as he tried to understand what really was happening.
' Did I just see what I think I've seen? A golden eagle eating a macaw? A macaw that looks just like Sky? Oh dear... oh dear...' Frost thought as his heart raced.
' It's probably just my imagination. Calm down Frost. Calm. Down.' Frost murmured to himself.
Frost closed his eyes and continued to do his meditation.
The horrible scene of a gigantic eagle holding Sky still appeared.
Frost tried to breathe. His lungs seemed not to work anymore. The pain in his chest... Frost could stand no more. He closed his eyes and pictured the scene, once again.
' The background seems to be a jungle of some sorts... hmm... I know where Sky is! Or at least... might be... he's in Beast Taming Valley! Oh why did he go so off course?' Frost thought helplessly as he looked at the map again.
'Yep that is so off course, what was Sky thinking? I asked him to go to the stupid capitol and now he's at the stupid Beast Taming Valley with all the stupid beasts in there with their stupid brains and stupid eyes and stupid noses and the stupid trees with the stupid fruits on it with the stupid golden beak and the stupid breath and the stupid macaw with it's stupid golden eyes and stupid beak... with the stupid STUPID STUPID!' Sky yelled, punching the walls of his cave.
' Okay, enough with your tempers, Frost.' Frost mumbled.
Frost pictured the scene, once again, and imagined he was there.
He really was there. He smelled the grassy scent. He felt the whooshing winds. He really was there.
When he opened his eyes he was still in his cave.
' Okay. I REALLY have gone bonkers. How am I supposed to go there without flying???' Frost laughed. Then he took a deep breath. ' I really am moody today..."
He took another deep breath, and closed his eyes. He imagined the grassy scent, he imagined the rustle of the leaves, imagined the whooshing winds. He smelt it. He felt it. He heard it. He heard... screams. He smelt... blood. He felt... fear.
' Frost! HELP!!!' Frost heard a cry. A familiar cry. It was Sky's cry.
Frost took a deep deep breath, and opened his eyes.
He really was there. He was.
Frost rubbed his eyes.
He saw Sky, in the hands of a golden eagle
Mouth wide open.
' Sky?' Frost whispered. Sky nodded as if he heard.
Frost didn't think. He ran. He ran to the golden eagle, claws ready.
The golden eagle turned and said, ' Oh. How heroic of you. Came here to save your friend eh? Well. You shall be my main course.'
' I will not. And I can't. If I defeat you.' Frost countered. ' Highly unlikely. Highly. No weapon? No armour?' The golden eagle retorted.
' So?' Frost spat.
' So... I will win.'
' No you won't.'
' Yes I will.'
' No you won't.'
' Yes!'
While Frost kept the eagle busy from eating Sky, Frost winked at Sky in Morse code, and tried to get his attention. Sky translated Frost's message with ease, and nodded.
' You will never win. I dare you to go to a match with me!' The eagle growled.
' No problem-o.' Frost replied coolly.
' I get one point for capturing your little friend.' The eagle said with a cold smile.
' Or do you?' Frost replied, as he pointed to Sky, who was flying above him. ' WHATTT?!!!' The eagle yelled.
' Mmm.' Sky said.
' Now, we're even. The match starts, NOW!' Frost yelled.
Whack. Frost whacked the eagle with his paws, leaving a purplish bruise on the eagle's broad chest.
'One point for Frost!' Sky yelled from the 'quarters'.
Whilst Frost was busily celebrating, the golden eagle bit Frost with its sharp beak. Blood dripping, Frost growled in anger as he pounced in the eagle, scratching and biting.
The woodpecker who had been in search of bird feathers, came back with a whole bundle of them. But when it saw what was happening, it immediately dropped all the feathers and bit the eagle on it's back, causing it to cry out in pain.
While Bronze was distracted, Frost used his sleepy ray and sent the eagle falling in a deep sleep.
"Victory for Frost!" Sky yelled in happiness.
"SQAAA!" The woodpecker said.
"Yeah, you too." Frost grinned.
"Yeah. Well. I'll just leave this eagle... to wake when it wants to. No killing, right?" Frost said. "Yes." Sky agreed.
