Frost and Sky flew over the towering mountains.
Above the leafless trees.
And across the frozen rivers.
Snowflakes fell on his snowy white fur."
Everything was perfect.
Perfect in it's own way
"Sky, have you ever wondered... why does the emperor want to find the secret of happiness?" Frost asked curiously. "Um... Sky! Where are you?"
In a flash, Sky was seen again, "Sorry, was still camouflaged. And... Well, yes, I have wondered. He seems quite suspicious. Did you hear his last sentence? He said: ' I would never plot a plan to kill you'. Don't you think that's weird?"
"Yeah... I feel like I'm a prawn on his game... it's like... he has a trick up his sleeve." Frost muttered.
He took a bottle of water out of the supply bag, and took a sip. It tasted sweet and strange. Suddenly, he felt rage churn and boil in him, but Frost closed his eyes and the rage vanished.
"Hmm... I think so too. The emperor seems to be a villain, don't you think?"
"Yeah. Alright, let's check the map again. Sky, hold the compass for me, will you?" Frost asked as he passed the compass in his hand to Sky.
Taking out the map, he used a pen to mark where they were.
"Aha. The dot marks the spot. We're at... demon's waterfall..." Frost said. "Um... but Frost? There are demons everywhere here... some can even fly. Remember our other adventure? We almost got killed!" Sky replied.
"I see...but what can we do?" Frost asked. "Wear your armour! Duh." Sky replied. "Fine. Since you're my friend. And you're so wise. I expect you only to tell the truth." Frost muttered. With some help from Sky, he wore the armour and had difficulty flying.
"Ack. This armour is so...bulky." Frost complained. "Hm." Sky replied.
Just then, four demons emerged in the forest. "Oh man." Frost muttered. "So. What do you say, Sky? We ignore 'em, or go down and fight 'em?"
"None of the above." Sky whispered.
When suddenly, his wings seemed to stop it's use.
He felt drowsy and sleepy. He wanted to rest.
' No,' Frost thought, 'You're not allowed to sleep, Frost. You're on a quest. You're having an adventure. So wake up! Wake up! Sleep later! Frost!'
He couldn't go any further.
'It's just my imagination.' Frost thought firmly to himself.
"You should be feeling drowsy now." Sky whispered.
"Uhh... you are right..." Frost mumbled as he fought to not fall asleep.
Suddenly Frost fell from the sky. He waved his arms around helplessly, and tried to flap his wings with all his might.
Unfortunately, it did not work.
Twigs scratched his fur, and leaves stuck.
The world turned blurry as he fell.
Luckily, he landed on the soft snow, catching his breath. His eyes were closing, and the world was spinning.
He squinted up to the sky, but Sky was nowhere to be seen.
"He's probably camouflaged." Frost thought silently. Before he could get up properly, the demons were to be seen again.
They had green scales and bloodshot amber eyes. Their teeth were like sharp yellow swords, and were stained with dried blood. They had dirty claws that were stained with soil. Their fur was stuck with dead animal flesh, and bloody gashes were everywhere.
