Steve quickly went to get changed then met back up with Nick to see Adeline. They stopped in front of her door.
"Now it took a while for you to gain consciousness after we defrosted you so it will take a while for her as well" Nick informed.
"How long ago did you take her out?" Steve asked.
"About 3 hours ago" Nick answered as he opened the door for Steve and he walked in to see Adeline laying in the bed unconscious like Nick said.
Nick closed the door behind Steve, Steve sat beside the bed and thought about how he will have to tell her Bucky didn't make it. He brushed it off and held her hand.
About 1 hour later she slowly began to open her eyes and looked at her surroundings seeing Steve.
"Steve?" She said softly
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked softly
"Good, where are we? And what happened to you, I remember you being smaller?" She said
"I work for an organization called SHIELD they found you and brought you here. And I joined the army and long story short participated in a experiment and kinda of became a well known person." He explained.
"Wow, wait what are you wearing what am I wearing?" She asked noticing the clothes they were wearing as she sat up.
"You have been frozen and asleep for over 70 years like me though I've been awake for a long time now. This is the style of this era" Steve explained.
"Soo... we are like in our what 90s ?" She asked
"Yes basically" Steve answered
"So that means Bucky is in his 90s as well right and he lived his life since he wasn't frozen. Right?" She asks
Steve tenses up and looks down "Adeline, Bucky passed away on a mission we were on together, I tried to save him but I couldn't" Steve says his head hanging low not being able to look at her.
"W-what" she says shocked starting to sob.
"I'm sorry Addy" he says as he gets up and hugs her sitting next to her on the bed.
After she calmed down she looks up at him ending the hug "how did it happen ?" She asked.
Steve took a deep breath knowing she had to know how and begins to tell her what happened.
"I can see you blame yourself Steve it's not your fault. I don't blame you and I'm sure he doesn't either" she says as she holds his hand.
He cracks a little smile and looks at her "I have something for you" he taking something out of his pocket and putting it in her hand.

"Bucky's dog tags" she smiles putting them on. "Thank you" she says hugging him.
"No problem, do you remember the day you were taken?" He asks
