Hill took them to a secret facility underground. Someone was running toward them as Adeline helped Natasha put pressure on their wound.
"GSW. Shes lost at least a pint of blood" Hill informed
"Maybe two" Sam added.
"Let me take her" the doctor requested
"She'll want to see him first" Hill said
She took them to another part of the bunker for all four of them to see Nick Fury, alive and resting in bed. They were in complete shock.
"About damn time" Nick stated
The doctor sat Natasha down and started to put pressure on her gunshot wound as Nick explained what happened.
"Here let me take the bullet out" Adeline said to the Doctor who looked at her confused.
Adeline held up her hand hoovering the wound as a green glow appeared on her hand and the bullet came out smoothly. The doctor looked amazed and went back to helping Nat.
"Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, one hell of a headache" Nick listed
"Don't forget your collapsed lung" the doctor reminded him
"Oh, let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good" Nick responded.
"They cut you open, your heart stopped" Natasha pointed out
"Tetrodotoxin B. slows the pulse to one beat a minute. Banner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it" Nick told them.
"Why all the secrecy? Why not just tell us?" Steve asked
"Any attempt on the director's life had to look successful" Hill answered
"Can't kill you if you're already dead. Besides, I wasn't sure who to trust," Nick added
After explaining everything, everyone left the room except for Adeline.
"I gather that you want to speak with me" Nick said
"Yeah" Adeline answered
"So? what is it?" Nick ushered
" Well after seeing what HYDRA is capable of and what the Winter Soldier has done and considering that not all my memories are back and knowing that you must have found a file about me i was wondering if-" Adeline speaks getting cut off by Nick
" You were wondering if you have killed anybody for HYDRA?" Nick asked
"Yes" Adeline simply answers
"No you haven't Adeline you're all clear" Nick answers with hesitation
Adeling lets out a sigh of relief "That good to hear. And I also wanted to say thank you for re-uniting me with Steve, he told me you were the one to find me. I'm glad you're alive and well." Adeline says.
"You and me both" He answers
They both smile and Adeline leave the room.
