3. Hoe It Out

Amelia's POV:

I stayed on the couch not bothering to check my phone but I know I can't just stay like this. After Aurora left for work I've been surrounded by the silence which only made Josiah's voice louder in my head. I really can't stand it anymore. I groaned sitting up hearing my bones crack, damn how old am I?

I flipped my phone over, seeing the messages with a few from my boss asking me to come in and I cave not caring about my mental state. If Josiah says I'm a slut, a whore then might as well act like one. I got up going to my sister's closet and I find something suitable to wear but knowing her a lot of it is professional.

I grabbed a pair of ripped jeans and a cropped button shirt with puffed sleeves. I finished the outfit by putting on a few rings and I looked in the mirror, "I look cute as fuck." I kick my leg up showing my shoes smiling satisfied. I leave the apartment getting into my car and drive to the Louzy Lounge.

It's a weird name for a strip club and services but I'm not the one who named it so not really my problem. I park in the back lot hiding my car just like everyone else who works here and I walk inside the smoke-smelling building.

"Where's Buck?" I ask one of the girls walking by as I walk to the lobby passing men being left by other ladies or taking a seat by the stage. "She's in her office talking to someone but she's expecting you." The girl tells me and I thank her rushing to my Boss' office seeing the door open and a person whispering in the black-haired woman's ear.

She giggles and I stand in the doorway knowing she can see me. "No go, go. I have to take care of something." She shoo's the person away with smeared lipstick on the side of his neck, I move out of the way as he smirks before leaving us.

"You're late." Buck says in a different tone. "I know Buck but I wasn't expecting to come in today and I was dumped last night so yeah." I briefly tell her and she pulls the cigarette out of her mouth. "My poor baby, I told you that Josiah was going to break your heart. Fragile men are no men, they're boys who can't be confident with their girl. Especially with your job Amelia, they don't stand a chance." She gets up hugging me and I hold my breath trying not to burst into tears.

"He called me names, he said that I was in a gangbang, a prostitute," I mumbled on her shoulder and I feel her stroking my head. "Shhh, I know baby. I know. But you know too that you're worth a lot more. I will kill him if I see his ass anywhere near you, just say the word and I'll get Betty." Everyone knows Betty, her shotgun that has been used before, it's not a pretty weapon.

"I don't want to see him or think of him I need to distract myself." I say pulling away and she walks back to her desk. "Is that what you want?" She asks and I nod. "Okay, there's a man in the lounge upstairs, he's an ass man so work your magic girl. He pays good, he's usually coming for Lauren but she ain't here yet so I'm giving him to you." She tells me.

"I know she went off with her client last night, we didn't leave at the same time." I look at my phone trying to see if she texted me or called, "I know, I always know if something happens to you girls. I'll kick myself if one of you got hurt by these pathetic boys but go on I'll handle it." She turns away typing away on her computer.

I leave her office walking towards our lockers and I change into white lace lingerie that I use specifically to show my ass. I'm proud of my butt. "Hey Amelia." I look up from my stocking seeing Dove who's fake name is Lucy. "Hi Dove, how are you?" I ask finishing my outfit.

"Oh I'm good, just got done on the stage and the men today were throwing everything they had." She squeals clapping her hands. "I hope so, you don't give them everything for nothing." I smirk bouncing my eyebrows and she playfully pushes my shoulder fanning a hand of 50s and 100s in her face.
