______________

Nyla's POV:

"I don't know if we can go through that." Pheonix gives me another file. "I don't care, I need to know." I tell him scrolling through a database of businesses within the area and soon the Louzy Lounge came up and I instantly clicked.

"Ny, come on everyone has already left the office, we can find her tomorrow." He tries to pull me away from the computer screen but I stay put. "You can go if you want, I'm not leaving till I know she wasn't there." I wait for the page to load while flipping through more paper.

"I'm serious, this can wait. Come with me and you stay with us again, Diane doesn't mind." He snatches the file from my hands and I try to reach for it but he pushes me back into the seat. "I won't be able to sleep until I find out." I tell him crossing my arms over my chest as the screen loads with information that's deeply hidden from the public.

Phone numbers, recent texts, phone calls, credit card transactions and security video footage, I scrolled for a specific Tuesday and I watched he footage surrounding the cameras around the escort establishment. "That's a lot of people." Phoenix looks over my shoulder and I shush him scrolling through the video.

"There. There she is." I pause pointing at Amelia as she appeared. She was there, at work, not where I was. I sighed with relief leaning back into the chair. "Good, now you can sleep right?" He questions grabbing my jacket for me and I nod.

"The best I can." I say walking of out of the Bureau, I don't sleep much, not as much like before. Even when I see Diane it can trigger the memories from that chain of events, whenever I see her upset or scared my mind jumps to think that she's being reminded of what happened to her. If I could have my memory wiped I wouldn't care.

There's not much for me to remember that would be important besides Phoenix and his family, I don't have much to lose. We make it to his neat little house, big enough for three but too small for four. But they make it work for me. I step into his living room immediately making a beeline for his couch and I face plant onto the cusion.

This couch is heaven. I turn my head grabbing the remote and I see Phoenix greet Diane with long kiss and a even longer hug. "Hi Ny, how are you?" The dark woman asks me swaying in her husband's arms. "I'm good, did Phoenix tell you about our new case?" I ask her and she nods her smile faltering.

"I heard, those girls are young to be killed by some man. I hope you guys find the muderer soon. It's not safe for any young woman to be out there but when has that not been a problem." She shakes her head walking to the kitchen with Phoenix trailing behind her.

Diane never fails to impress with her knowledge, she's a smart girl and no one can deny it, even with what happened to her she never let go of the one thing that probably saved her through that torture. I remember the day that Phoenix went so far to find her again, it's the one time I took him seriously with his relationship.

"Do you want something to eat?" I look up seeing Diane around the corner and I shake my head, "No but thank you I think I might just sleep." I slowly sit up turning the volume down from their Tv and she smiles. "That's okay you're clothes are in Kelsey's room." She points down the hall and I follow her direction to her daughters room.

I slowly sneak into the dark room with a blue star and yellow moon night light on the wall. Her small snores filled the room and I quietly opened her drawer finding some of my clothes beside hers. "Auntie Nyla you're here." I hear a yawn behind me and I turn around seeing the little girl rubbed her eyes open.

I walk to the side of the bed and she rolls onto her side. "I'm staying here tonight." I whisper to her and she yawns again. "Is my dad here too?" She asks and I nod, "He is, he's in the kitchen probably eating dinner right now he'll say goodnight to you soon okay." I tell her crouching down stroking the top of her hair.
