A/n: Magnolia's outfit is exactly like the woman on the extreme right. Her hair and makeup is different, tho. Also, this chapter may get a bit uncomfortable around the spider raymond's club part, so I'll put a line break like this, '--' to tell you where it starts and ends. It's part of the plot and shows one of Magnolia's previously taught abilities, so i can't cut it out. And the name of Magnolia's school is made up, so don't come at me for it--

-TWO-

"Nola, are you ready, yet?" Asked Peggy, looking at the bathroom door. Magnolia's muffled voice was heard from the other side, "I'll be out in a moment, Mum!" A grunt and thud could be heard, followed by a string of curses as the girl slipped and fell while pulling on her skirt. She hopped out of the bathroom, her hair slightly disheveled from her fall. "I'm ready." She panted, tucking her blouse in.

"Not with that hair, you're not." Chuckled the older woman, grabbing a comb. Magnolia squirmed about in her mother's firm grip, "No--Mum--get off me--My hair is fine--" She grumbled, trying to swat her mother's hands away. Peggy sternly said, "Magnolia, enough." Upon hearing her first name, the girl immediately stopped squirming and sat patiently while Peggy brushed out the latter's soft curls. "You're all set. Let's go, Nola. I despise being late." Scowled Peggy.

"Yep. Got it, Mum." Nodded Magnolia, hurrying out of the apartment door.

--Time Skip--

"You know, you are expected to go home at night." Peggy chuckled, upon seeing Daniel at his desk. He spun around in his chair and replied, "Most fugitive cases are solved in the first 72 hours. If Stark's sailing into the sunset, maybe this is where he starts." He pointed at the photographs on his desk. Magnolia leaned over and took a look at them, while Peggy hinted, "He must've really liked that girl..."

"Hm?" Daniel hummed in inquiry.

"Because there's no other reason why he'd get in a boat." Interjected Magnolia, standing up straighter.

"I'm sorry, Daniel, but Stark hates water. He can't even swim." Added the older woman.

"Really? How do you..."

"He tried to kiss me on V-E day. I knocked him into the Thames. We had to get frogmen to fish him out."

The trio looked up at the briefing room, where Thompson, Dooley and two more agents sat, discussing something.

"Something's up." Said Peggy, her voice thin with suspicion.

"Thompson's working on his next medal. Got word of a fence trying to sell one of Stark's inventions..." Daniel informed, leaning back in his seat. "Club owner named Spider Raymond."

"Where's it happening?" Asked Magnolia, her sharp brown eyes set in a steely glare.

"Need-to-know only." He said, as though he were mocking someone.

Peggy thought for a moment and asked, "Get you a refill?" As she took Daniel's coffee cup from him. "Actually I was still--" He was cut off by her promptly walking away, "Drinking that."

Magnolia nodded, "Good day, Daniel."

She sat at her mother's desk and grabbed a file, flipping through it before someone stood before her and dropped a pile of reports on the desk with a 'thump'. "Gonna need you to file and review these reports, Carter. Have 'em at my desk by six." She looked up to see Agent Li, looking at her with a cocky smirk.
