Summer's Pov

Will you send me those songs?" I asked Diamond as we stood in the empty living room. My heart was breaking but I knew we both had to leave.

Ash, Treasure and Hanna all waited outside for me while I tried my best not to cry.

The time to say bye came quicker than I wanted it to and now I was choking on the lump in my throat at the thought of leaving the air bnb without the one person I wanted to see the most.

Diamond nodded and smiled one of the saddest smiles I've ever seen on her pretty face. My stomach fluttered.

"I already did."

"I'm gonna miss you." I sighed and pulled her into my arms.

I didn't want this to be goodbye...

"I already miss you." She said and then connected our lips softly.

I closed my eyes and drifted to a world where we never had to say goodbye, only see you later.

"It's not goodbye, okay baby? You're gonna come to New York and we'll be together as long as you want to be."

"Okay. Sounds good." I smiled. "I'll see you later, Diamond."

"Okay...see you, Summer."

I walked away with hot tears in my eyes.

The last seven days passed too fast for my liking. All I wanted to do was stay with Diamond. Hell, I'd even fly back to New York with her.

But I couldn't. Not yet.

Thankfully, Ashleigh and Hanna kept their jokes to themselves once I got in the car. It was obvious I wasn't in a joking mood. I didn't want to talk at all.

The plane ride was long and excruciating.

I was so anxious and depressed knowing that Ana wasn't going to be there when I unlocked the front door and slung my bag over the couch like I had done over a million times.

My heart was so heavy.

After the plane landed and we grabbed our luggage, Ash led the way to the parking garage. I was still in a mood. So I didn't participate in the light conversation they were having.

I was trying my hardest not to text Diamond already. It had only been a couple of hours. I didn't want her to think I was obsessed.

Even though I am.

We dropped Hanna off first. And then Treasure despite her wanting to stay with Ash.

Somehow, Ashleigh always knew what I was thinking without me having to tell her. I loved that about her.

When she pulled up to my parents house and parked the car in the driveway, my stomach did a series of flip flops.

"You ain't think I was gon' let you go back home for the first time by yourself, did you?" She smiled and then pulled me into a hug.

I didn't fight it. I wrapped my arms around her small body too.

"Aight, so we're just gon' grab some of your stuff and you're gon' come stay with us for a lil' bit. Coo?"

I nodded my head.

It didn't feel right sliding my key in the door and opening the door to the silent four bedroom house I grew up in.
