Y.N, CAROLINE'S COUSIN, WAS AN ABSOLUTELY LOVELY YOUNG WOMAN, SHE WAS SWEET BUT ALSO BADASS. She was one of the only ones to learn about the supernatural worlds with impressive calm, she accepted the world she actually lived in. She quickly learned to defend herself, to kill vampires, to know what to do to avoid being compelled, to pay attention to the smallest details. For this, she had the help of her brand new best friend, Stefan Salvatore, whom she had met through her cousin and her cousin's best friend, Elena, but she also had the help of the new history teacher/vampire hunter who taught her how to defend herself and kill vampires. The Salvatore and the y.l.n quickly became inseparable as they dealt with the various threats that came to Mystic Falls. So when he decided to 'sell his soul to the devil' to save Damon's life and was forced to leave the small town, she was filled with sadness but also rage at the new hybrid. At that moment, she would have done anything to kill the Mikaelson. She spent her entire summer tracking down her best friend with Damon and Alaric, following the various bodies he left behind. y.n realised how much Klaus had destroyed him, turned him back into a ripper. But when the younger Salvatore had come to Mystic Falls and forced Andy to kill herself, Damon had decided to stop track him and bring him back and she was forced to stop too since now her cousin was in danger.
That night was a very special night for the future seniors. 'Senior Night' was a night when the seniors would sneak into the school to play prank on their teachers. And although y.n had graduated the year before, Caroline had dragged her along almost by force. The blonde wanted to spend a night in the company of her loved ones and turn the page on the horrible year they had spent previously. y.n quickly understood her cousin's motivations and let herself be taken in, quite amused at the idea of reliving that night. Caroline had given the y.h.c woman the task of gluing all the chemistry instruments together as well as the drawers of the teacher's desk. So y.n had gone to get some glue before heading to the chemistry room, not suspecting for a second what was actually going on in the school. She entered the room to gif her cousin sitting next to an unconscious Tyler. Rebekah immediately turned her head towards the newcomer in the room, she was absolutely beautiful and almost gasped. y.n had the same reaction when she met the Mikaelson's eyes, not suspecting for a second who she was.
"y.n run !" exclaimed Caroline, worried for her cousin. The y.l.n dropped what she had in her hands and turned around to leave the room and the school for her own safety. But before she could take a step, Rebekah was in front of her, preventing her from moving forward and leaving. "Sorry gorgeous, but no one leaves this room," declared Rebekah.
Rebekah wished her voice was as threatening as it usually was but she couldn't, she didn't want to scare the beautiful human, far from it. To be honest, she would have liked to let her go, but if Klaus found out and she screwed up his plan, she could be sure she'd end up with a dagger in her heart when she'd only just woken up after a long time in her coffin. y.n turned around and walked slowly away from her cousin and the still unconscious Tyler. She sat down next to Caroline and watched the werewolf while the blonde watched the other blonde with a wicked eye, not too happy about her cousin blocked in the room.
"What happened to Tyler ?" asked the y.l.n, placing a hand on her cousin's arm. The beautiful original shivered at the sound of y.n's voice. Not only was she beautiful, she had a sweet, singing voice, making her more and more perfect in Rebekah's eyes. "Klaus killed him, he wants to make him a hybrid," answered Caroline, slightly crying.
y.n murmured a simple 'oh my god' before stroking the hair of her now dead friend. She'd known Tyler for years now, she'd grown up with him like the rest of her friends, and she didn't want him dead. On top of that, he was the boyfriend of her cousin who was madly in love with him, something more than obvious. The human's y.e.c eyes went to the other blonde in the room who had been staring at her for a while and she felt her cheeks turn red but she quickly hid it before looking away. Fortunately Klaus eventually found the solution to creating hybrids all thanks to Bonnie who had managed to get in touch with the original witch but mostly thanks to his eternal paranoia as the original witch had tried to get him to kill Elena, the doppelgänger when the solution was actually her blood.
After that, they were all free to go. y.n didn't waste a second before leaving the school and heading home, exhausted by this terrible night. She needed some fresh air so she decided to walk, plus she had come with Caroline who had picked her up from her house. Rebekah decided to follow the young woman until she was sure she was safe. She hid in the shadows watching her, making sure she was safe, but Caroline's cousin was far from ignorant and reckless, she had also managed to spot the original vampire after several minutes.
"I know you're following me," said the human once she reached the porch of her home. "How...," began to say the Mikaelson. "When you live here, you get to know things," she cut her off, almost rolling her eyes. "Why are following me ? I'm your next meal ?" asked the young woman coldly. "No, I wanted to make sure you got home safely," replied the youngest original vampire. "I'm Rebekah," she added with a small smile.
y.n blushed slightly, something she tried to hide when she realised but was unable to, before giving the vampire a thin, imperceptible smile. She had to admit, Rebekah was absolutely beautiful and the face that she followed her to make sure she was okay warmed her heart slightly. She walked down the few steps in front of her house to approach the Mikaelson and then placed a gentle kiss on her cheeks in gratitude and appreciation. Rebekah put on a surprised face at the time before she started to blush too.
"Thank you for looking after me on the way here," said Caroline's cousin softly. "But I'm old enough to look after myself," she added more determined than before.
Then she turned and walked home, locking the door behind her before leaning against it, placing a hand over her heart that was pounding in her chest. Rebekah stood in front of the house for a moment, one hand on her cheek, while she was totally under the human's spell. Eventually she left to join her brother, only to discover that he had left Mystic Falls without her. Nevertheless, she wasn't any more angry than that, it gave her a way to get closer to y.n.
