The typhoon has finally passed, and the town is in the process of getting used to the morning sun again as it dried the drenched streets and houses. The cold still lingered the gloomy, overcast sky though, considering most of the townspeople still remained in 2 layers of clothing roaming around the village.

The Madrigals were back doing their everyday duties, to Camilo's dismay because he envied Mirabel, who successfully snuck away from the family's sight to go to her and Y/N's beloved treehouse. " Hey where do you think you're going?" Mirabel flinched, slowly turning around to find a very confused Camilo. " Uhm .. to Tio Bruno?" she lied. Her cousin scoffed. " You can't fool me prima. It's unfair that you get to go to your very own ' sanctuary' and relax while I do ... well chores-!"

" Camilo! Get down here already, the town is waiting for us!". Pepa's voice echoed from downstairs making the pair jolt. Camilo pinched his nose before he heard Mirabel whine. " Camilo please don't tell anyone? I just want to put something there~"

" ... and what's in it for me then?"

Mirabel rolled her eyes. " ...I'll... I'll do the dishes for the rest of the week." Seeing her cousin smirk made her regret the decision more as he descended doen the stairs to meet up with his mama.
" Deal!" he yelled before running out the door. Meanwhile Mirabel made her way afterwards, making sure that none of her family members were in sight before running off into the trees.

As she shivered at the cold weather, Antonio's bird suddenly made it's way by her side once again, making the teen raise an eyebrow as the animal looked at her with a questioning look. " What? It's not like I'm gonna do anything bad." she spoke, arguing with the bird's suspicion.

All the bird did was squawk before perching on her shoulder, seeming to want to accompany the girl to her destination. The sounds of the moving water echoed in the distance, hinting that she was nearing the treehouse. Images of Y/N in the vision started flooding in her head, the waters crashing down her body while Mirabel just winced at the memory from the future.

" No. No I won't let that happen to Y/N."

She repeatedly told herself, now hopping onto the rocks to reach the other side.

" You've succeeded in a vision once you can succeed again."

Mirabel tilted her head to look behind the tree as the thoughts continuously hit the back of her brain like a hammer hitting a nail. She had a second of relaxation when she saw that the ladder was in a perfectly okay shape, still the same since the day she and Y/N last visited. It was still a little bit slippery since the bars were wet, so the Madrigal slowly ascended to the top of the tree, the silence irritating her busy head.

Hands pulling herself upwards to a flat surface that is the treehouse, she let out another sigh of relief seeing that the place was still in one piece. " Oh thank goodness." she whispered, taking a step forward only to slip and fall on her butt. The bird that was on her shoulder the whole time chirped in surprise, letting go as it flew upwards to stare at her fallen state. " AHHH! Ah god, of course it's slippery." she groaned gripping on one of the shelve to pull herself up.

She took out a piece of cloth from her bag before glancing at the winged animal flying beside her, placing her free hands on her hip. " We'll be cleaning today my feathered friend."

Eyelids almost half-closed, Y/N was awakened by a sudden slam of books on her desks by her father. Just as she locked eyes again, his stern look made her feel small, even if she wanted to tell him badly that she wanted to rest.
