The next day's afternoon came by, and Y/N is now regretting life decisions while she sat with her parents in the dinner table. Thankfully so for her, both her mom and dad didn't seem to notice her behavior.

Cecille though, says otherwise.

" Are you alright Y/N?" she whispered into the teen's ear. Y/N responded with a quick nod and resumed eating her lunch.

Then the doorbell rang. Y/N sprang from her seat, startling her father who was signing papers. " Hon are you alright?"

M/N immediately ran to the door, Y/N nervously following behind her while F/N looked at then both, perplexed. When Y/N's mom opened the door, she was greeted by a Madrigal in glasses, clutching her bag nervously. " Uhm... hello! I'm Mirabel Madrigal and uh-"

" A MADRIGAL?!" M/N yelled in surprise which made Y/N hide behind her. " My! I never thought that the day would come that one of the gifted members would visit us! What brings you here?"

Mirabel cleared her throat, catching a quick glimpse of the woman's daughter peeking behind her. " I received a letter from your daughter. I would like to give mine erm... directly if I may." Mirabel shyly said, offering an envelope to M/N.

" Y/N ... wrote a letter... to someone?"
M/N started tearing up a bit making Mirabel flinch and Y/N facepalm. " My dear Y/N is making friends! How wonderful! I've been waiting for this day for so long!" the woman exclaimed, making her husband walk over. " What's going on mi amor?" he asked her. M/N turned to him and shook his shoulders.

" Our Y/N has made a friend!"
" ...Really?"
" Yes!"

Y/N hid in the living room, embarrassed. Surely it wasn't that much of a big deal right? No. For her case it is a big deal for her family because she never makes the first move. She heard her parents and Mirabel talk more for a bit until finally they exchanged good-byes.

" Y/N! A letter is here for you!" she heard her mother happily call out. Y/N peeked from the sofa. " I know mama." she replied, turning red in embarrassment

" You never told me you had friends!"
" Th-They're not mom. I just sent a letter-"
" Nevertheless go on and read it so that you can reply!"

Before M/N left she took one more peek into the living room and said, " Also that's very smart of you to write a letter! Very clever!"

Y/N gave her mom a light chuckle before opening the light green envelope. Did Mirabel send the reply from Isabela? When she saw the first words of the letter her eyes widened.

" Oh no..."

Hello Y/N!!

I have never wrote nor received a letter either so what an opportunity it is to get one from you! I don't know if this letter really was meant for me since you only wrote one initial and that is " M". Either way though, I would gladly take on the chance to be your first friend.

As Mirabel was approaching Casita, she heard someone approaching her from behind and turned around, shocked to find an unfamiliar girl panting near their gateway. When they locked eyes the girl immediately hid half her body behind a wall, startling Mirabel.

She watched as the girl struggled to bring herself anymore forward and knew. It was Y/N. " Uhm. Hey! Don't worry I won't be that much of trouble, I'm aware of your situation." Mirabel told the girl. She earned a squeak from Y/N before she finally came out of her hiding spot.
