There were new people in town today that arrived in a rather fancy carriage. Designed in floral designs, painted in white, the carriage finally came to a halt as a beautiful woman walked out of the vehicle with her spouse, greeted by the shocked stares of the townspeople.
The L/N's, if you cannot tell, are a middle-class kind of family of three plus their three cute little dogs. Often they're mistaken as the clichè " mean rich family" type of people, but people are often left with their jaws dropped to find out that they were wrong.
" Woww!! What a beautiful town surrounded by mountains! I love it!" M/N exclaimed, looking at the surroundings before she finally caught the eyes of the hundreds of villagers around their carriage.
" Oh my! Hello!"
And then immediately the couple and a few of their helpers got bombarded. It was a messy but warm welcome for the family. Well, not all of them because the two's daughter is still huddled in the carriage, hiding.
Desperately waiting for the people to go away, she repeatedly peeked outside the window, seeing her parents shake hands and exchange introductions with strangers. Oh how she wished she inherited their confidence too.
The carriage door suddenly opened, revealing her father. " Hey mija, are you sure you don't want to at least say hi to them?" F/N asked in a low voice. Y/N aggressively nodded. He sighed. " Alright. Do you wanna go to our house first then? You can pick out which room you'd like."
Y/N aggressively nodded again.
" Yes papa. Thank y...you." she whispered.Giving his child one last hug, he close6 the door, leaving her alone inside again. She heard a few muffled words from her father and outside and the carriage moved again, moving through the town. Y/N whilst staring outside noticed a few children staring at the carriage in awe.
" Mama and papa has overdone it again with which carriage to bring." she thought
" Oh my gosh! Look it's a princess carriage!" she heard a little girl with 2 braids yell outside. Another girl with curly black hair also in one braid followed close behind her. " I wonder if there's a princess inside!"
Y/N melted into the seat, panicking. The carriage suddenly came into another halt, making the teen fall forward and hit her head on the other side of the small compartment. " I'm so sorry! Pardon me!" she heard a voice outside as she groaned in pain. Opening the little window that led to the coachman, she looked over his shoulder to find another teenager in green glasses, looking like she was in a hurry.
" Ah. She looks like my age." Y/N thought. The coachman's eyes worriedly followed the curly haired girl as she ran away from the horses.
" Madam are you alright?" he asked Y/N, who squeaked before she gave him a silent " mhm".
Their new house was smaller than their other one, which made Y/N glad because as a child she always got lost in the mansion. It had a simple gate, a front yard and a backyard, the house had 3 floors and they had a front porch. Now she just has to wait for the other carriage to arrive, the one with her beloved dogs.
Her mother owned the Shih Tzu which she named Teacup for some reason. Her dad being the exact opposite of M/N has a Boston Terrier named Dime.
And finally, their daughter owned a Papillon named Chrysalis because of its cute little butterfly ears. The family loved small dogs.
Y/N slowly exited the carriage, slinging her heavy backpack behind her while she went to the back to get her things. Upon seeing the girl, a few townspeople stared, to which made Y/N anxious because she thought that she was alone around the property at the moment.
The little girls from earlier immediately beamed. " Wow there was a princess!"
The teenager gave everyone a quick bow before running into the house, leaving the coachman alone with the villagers' confused stares. " Sorry everyone, mister and miss' daughter isn't really good at communicating with people." he informed them.
The door slammed shut behind her Y/N placed her back against its woody surface. The empty and hollow house echoed as she tried to catch her breath. She was making progress before at their old hometown, but that progress got beaten to bits immediately ever since she arrived here. It made her guilty because the town wasn't even bad. It was more lively and had kinder people willing to invite her parents in advanced. Even the kids called her a princess.
Y/N approached the empty rooms one by one. The wallpapers along the hall designed with more flowers gave it a calming vibe. The kitchen was designed with fruit prints which she found adorable. The windows were kind of dusty, so she couldn't help but trace a small heart, leaving dirt on her fingers.
She heard more horses arrive outside and her eyes immediately shined. The dogs and their luggage are here!
Upon seeing the familiar girl, three pups jumped off the carriage and into Y/N's arms, the fluffballs being squished into her embrace.
" Alright little ones. Let's have a tour in the new house." she whispered, to which the dogs replied with cute little excited barks.
Stomps of a girl who happily ran upstairs filled the house, and also a few clouds of dusts forming whenever she took a step on the house's floor.
" Teacup, Chrysalis, Dime, help Y/N pick a room will ya?"
The puppies chased each other with such energy Y/N finds cute. They all simultaneously ran into a bedroom designed with leaves and a balcony showing the view of the town.
" Good job." she whispered to their fluffy ears as she carried the three dogs in her arms.
