*George POV*

I got back to my spot at about 4:40. I turned off the newly repaired car and patted the steering wheel before unbuckling and getting out. I quickly shot a few texts back and forth with Ammon, and he ended up making a group chat with Bad, himself, and me. We shot a few texts back and forth until I heard someone.

That was strange. I was intrigued, but I was still a while away from the bridge. After what seemed like a minute too long, I heard the voice again, and this time I was able to identify it. Clay.

I started to speedwalk in his direction, until I saw that he was sitting on the edge instead of standing, and I heard what he was singing.

"-erfection is so quick to bore, you are more beautiful by far," I was lost in his voice, it seemed so beautiful and raw with emotion that I couldn't help it much. "Our flaws are who we really are." His voice cracked, and I felt a tear forming in my eye. I kept focusing on the yellow-clad man as he stood and looked down, and then I was sprinting and screaming before I could even think.

I was too far away, I wouldn't make it in time. My hands were shaking, I was so scared. I screamed as loud as I could.

"CLAY!!!! STOP! CLAY!!" I screeched as he prepared to jump.

I pushed my legs as fast as they would go, my feet were flying across the pavement.

And he jumped and fell far too fast.

Too fast for it to be real.

Too fast for it to be true.

I made it to the edge as quickly as I could, and I barely missed the hood of his hoodie.

It was then that I'd realized that I'd leaned too far with way too much momentum, and that I was falling over the edge as well.

FALLING FALLING FALLING FALLING

Cold.
