Summary: Aru is a spy for her kingdom and the wonderful King Aiden Acharya. Sneaking around was kind of her specialty, so she knows how to get around. Aru, Mini, and Rudy are around 25, Aiden and Brynne are 26, and Holland is 20.
Here is a collage I made for parts of the one-shot. The top left is Hollands suit (I did not draw this, all credits go to the original artist). The bottom left is something I drew as something for Holland as well. It would be like the add-on to her suit. I'm terrible at drawing eyes, so I left them out.
The middle is how I imagine Aru's suit. Yet again, I did not draw this. All credits go to the original artist. The bottom right is something I drew as an add-on to Aru's suit. I know you can't really see it but on both Aru and Holland there are scars drawn on their faces and an S tattoo near their collar bone.
The top right is Aru holding a sword later on. Just thought it would be a cool additional piece. So, yeah...
I also may or may not have gotten my inspiration from Six of Crows. If you have read it or seen Shadow and Bone, Aru has a role like Inej, and Aiden is kind of like Kaz.
This is literally Six Of Crows and Black Widow combined to make an Aru Shah Fanfic
Aru had her way of making her presence known if she wanted you to know. She was good at lurking through the shadows and not making a noise. It was her specialty. After all, her line of work required her to be quiet.
Aru would say her least favorite part of her job would be that she always had to lurk in the shadows. She would rather be able to walk in broad daylight and have no one recognize her. But, no. Instead, she had to wear all black and stay in the dark.
Getting up off his throne, Aiden walked down the long hallway. He made a few turns here and there, but he could feel someone following him. He turned around, making sure he was in no danger. When he turned back around, he was startled by Aru standing in front of him. She wore a black suit, that kind of reminded Aiden of a Black Widow suit.
She had a belt that hid her knife and a mask that hid the bottom half of her face. It also hid a scar that went from the arch of her eyebrow to just below her cheekbone. Her long boots allowed her to run more quietly and climb brick walls. Honestly, her whole outfit benefited her.
"Acharya," Aru said, monotone. She pulled her mask and hood down.
"Shah," he said back. "You scared me."
"Good to know I'm good at my job."
"Anything I should know?" he asked, beginning to walk down the hall once more, Aru following suit.
"Alestand isn't doing well financially, but their soldiers are moving toward Rickly's border."
"Are we at risk of getting involved?"
