Aru pulled her buzzing phone out of her pocket while standing in the park.

"Hello?"

"Ms. Shah, we have a new heist for you," the voice on the other end of the phone said.

"Huh? Really? Who would've thought with the text saying, 'We have a heist for you. Go to the park and we'll call you.' What a shocker," Aru gasped.

"We don't have time for your antics."

"Oh, there's always time."

"Your partner will be meeting you soon and they will fill you in on the heist. He should be entering the park right about now. If you have any questions, feel free not to ask. Good day, Ms. Shah."

"Partner? No, no, I work alone. I do not-" The phone call ended and Aru lowered the phone from her ear. "They did not just hang up on me."

Someone tapped on her shoulder, so she turned around to look.

A boy with curly black hair, dark eyes, and a golden-brown complexion stood in front of Aru. He was much taller than her, and he had to look down to look at her. He wore jeans and a black hoodie.

'Not him again. He definitely doesn't remember me.... I think. It doesn't look like he does. He is kinda... cute??? NO. Aru, get back on track, right now. No time for this,' Aru thought.

"I take it you're Aru?"

'Definitely doesn't remember me.'

"No." Aru crossed her arms and glared at the guy in front of her.

"Well, this is awkward. I was supposed to be meeting a friend here," Aiden lied, running a hand through his hair.

"You don't know what your friend looks like?" Aru asked.

"'Scuse me?"

"Well, you said, I take it you're Aru, which implies you don't know what your friend looks like. Or maybe you're lying about meeting a friend here and you're really here to kidnap me," Aru shrugged simply.

"I-I'm not going to kidnap you. You're really mistrusting."

"Yeah, I am." Aru pretended to get a notification on her phone and pulled it out of her hoodie pocket.

"Ah, snap. I must be on my way, Mr?" Aru reached her hand out.

"Aiden, you can call me Aiden." Aiden shook her hand. "Not that you're probably going to see me again, but."

"Aiden. Nice to meet you."

Aru turned around and started to walk away, when she turned back and slammed right into Aiden's body, just like planned.

Aiden's hands held her elbows and Aru's hands casually rested near his hoodie pocket. "Oh, gosh. Aiden, I am so sorry. I'm clumsy," Aru shook her head.

"No, this was my fault. I should've watched where I was going. Why'd you turn around so quickly, though?"

"I remembered I parked on the other side of the park," Aru rolled her eyes. "Forgetful me. Anywho, bye!"
