AN: My French is a little rusty, seeing as I've transferred to a school that only teaches Spanish, so please feel free to correct me.
After that one summer day, a feud had begun between Aru and Aiden. Pranks were played on each other, days were sabotaged, but most importantly, they had slowly grown to become enemies.
-Day before school starts again-
Aru slowly opened her eyes, face cringing when the bright light form outside hit her face. Her eyes saw the curtains rising and falling from the wind coming from the open window. The chill breeze that flew towards her, made her turn away.
When she rolled over, she saw her cat basking in the sunlight.
Her cat was new. She was a beautiful orange tabby cat. Aru had found her wandering down the road one rainy afternoon and has brought her to the shelter to see if she had an owner.
They said they couldn't find a collar, and to put up found cat signs around town, so she did. She was only a kitten. But, after weeks, no one called. Aru had decided to keep her, and name her Winnie.
"Good morning, Winnie," Aru smiled, reaching her hand out.
Winnie sniffed it, then jumped off her bed.
"Shah!" Aru heard Brynne yell from downstairs.
"Coming," Aru groaned.
"Get ready while you're up there. Oh, hello, Winnie."
Aru went into her closet and chose jeans, and a light blue button-up shirt, which she had the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. She brushed through her hair and put it into a braid, and threw it over her shoulder. She found a light blue beanie and threw that on as well.
She came down the stairs and saw Brynne holding Winnie in her arms. "Who's a good girl? You are. Yes, you are," she cooed.
Brynne looked up and handed Aru a note. "It was on your door."
"Thanks," she replied, unfolding the letter and reading it closely.
Dear Arundhati,
When we first met, things didn't go as planned. I would like to apologize for everything that will be coming in the next 5 hours. I cannot express how fun though it will be seeing your reactions.
Yours truly,
Aiden AcharyaAru crumpled up the paper and threw it in the trash.
"What was that all about?" Brynne asked.
"Stupid Acharya is sending letters now as warnings."
She walked toward the door and opened it. "Screw you, Aid-"
Aru was cut off by an air horn going off. She jumped and looked to the left of her porch. Sure enough, there was Aiden, now holding the can behind his back.
"Well, good morning, Shah. What a coincidence. I'm surprised you're up this early."
Water then drenched him. Mini stood on the sidewalk with a bucket full of water balloons. "Get out of here, Aiden," Brynne said from behind Aru.
"This has been a pleasure, but I must run. Au revoir."
"Rester à l'écart!" Aru yelled. (stay away, if i remember it right...)
Aru watched as he went back into his house and waved at her through the window.
"Since when do you know French?" Mini asked, approaching the two.
"Since when do you carry around water balloons?"
-Later that day-
Rain was falling from the grey clouds. Aiden had managed to pull off five pranks within hours, but it was now 7 in the evening and they were both tired out.
