No Hero Here

Ordered to do so, Sub and Neos joined Steve in jumping into the water below, which would completely consume them, washing them away from the city, and leaving Herobrine to relish in his anger.

Herobrine: No... No! Null robots! Return to Infinity Tower at once!

Doing exactly as they were programmed to do, the army of Null robots obeyed Herobrine's command and immediately disappeared one by one, maintaining invisibility as they made their way back to Infinity Tower; meanwhile, Herobrine's glowing white eyes disappeared from the Jumbotron level screens that rested atop so many buildings throughout the city, and it would proceed to appear on the computer monitor that rested on the desk in the top floor of Infinity Tower. Joining him on the top floor was Grimmus, who was latched to a chair, making him incapable of moving a muscle.

Herobrine: Hey there, pal. How are you doing?

Grimmus: Screw you. I'm not your pal.

Herobrine: Oh, maybe not, but nonetheless, the Null robots you helped to design worked to perfection, I'll have you know. As a matter of fact, they were so strong that Steve, Sub, and Neos each abandoned ship.

Grimmus: Wait, you mean they left?

Herobrine: Yes, that's right. Your beloved heroes have abandoned all of you, and it's all thanks to the brand new army you've given me.

Grimmus: The way I see it, it's safer for them not to be here than to be. I mean, think about it. If they're not here, you won't keep the Null robots here. If you did, they'd simply be collecting dust, and nothing more; therefore, you're going to have to use them to track them down, and that could take awhile. That's why you're hoping to worry me with the false truth of them being so terrified that they "abandoned" the city, because you're attempting to hide your own fear in the potential that they'll figure out a way to delete you before you find them.

Herobrine: Why you... Ya know, you really get on my nerves, but then again, I guess that's what you're going for. It doesn't matter, though. The only thing I fear is what's inside of Steve's blood, and I'm not talking about the Dark Matter that makes him a Hero. We both know he's not one to take that big of a risk. What I'm referring to is what you found in his blood... See, the thing is, even if he's unaware of the strength he now possesses, I'm more than capable of realizing that if he were to somehow find out about it, it could very easily throw a wrench in my plans; perhaps even thwarting them completely. So yes, Grimmus, you'd be right in assuming that I grow a bit more anxious with every second that passes where I don't have him in my possession.

Grimmus, who had no idea what exactly to say, knew no better than to continue to play mind games with Herobrine, and what made it so easy to do is the fact that Grimmus was simply going to speak his mind.

Grimmus: You're no hero...

Herobrine: Excuse me?

Grimmus: You heard me. I said you're no hero. Sure, your name may include the word, but that's about as close as you'll ever get. Ya know, Jack isn't the only one that read about the legend of the Elemental War. You were brought up many times in that legend; so were the other Heroes. What always shocked me about that legend, though, was hearing that you were once like all of us, as you once wanted nothing more than for the entirety of the multiverse to be at peace. It's like I said, you're no hero. You're just like us.. Brine.

Herobrine: Don't you ever call me by that again, understand?!

Grimmus: Look, Brine, I'll level with you. I don't understand why you are the way you are now, and to be honest, I'm not sure if I even wanna know. What I do know is that I don't believe you ever wanted to be this way. As a matter of fact, I'd bet just about anything that it isn't even you who chose this path for you-

Herobrine: Just shut up, already! You know nothing! I am who I am, and that's that, got it?! Now, you decide Grimmus, do you wish to live past the next five minutes or not?

Grimmus: Well, yes, I suppose that would be quite nice... Fine, I'll keep quiet. I was only speaking my mind. My apologies.

Herobrine: That's what I thought. Well, I hate to cut this short, but I have some business to tend to. See ya later, Grimmus, but remember, even if you can't see me here, I'm always watching you.

Grimmus: Don't worry, I don't foresee myself forgetting how my own equipment works.

Without another moment's notice, the appearance of Herobrine's glowing eyes vanished from the monitor that rested in front of Grimmus, which left Grimmus to tend to his thoughts.

Grimmus: I knew I was onto something. You're not like this because it's what you wanted at all. Hell, you're not even like this because of something you've done. Someone did this to you... Someone else made you this way... The only question is.. who would be so cruel as to send an individual down the path you're on?

While Grimmus continued his train of thought, the Elementals were still being washed away by the current of the sewers sending water out to the river, and after another few minutes, the trio would be spat out by the sewer lines and into a crystal clear river, where the current was so weak that they were able to climb their way onto land. With their clothes and bodies being soaked, the three decided to simply rest on the grass for a moment, for they felt safe enough to take a breather after noticing that they were dropped off in the middle of a forest.

Neos: Ya know, for it to be sewage water, it sure is awfully clear.

Sub: Yeah, not to mention it's not as bad smelling as people make it out to be.

Neos: Yeah, that's true. Hey Steve, you alright? You look like something's on your mind.

Steve: I look like something's on my mind? Herobrine is back and just took over all of TerraPrime in one fell swoop! Why wouldn't I have something on my mind?! Damnit... It's happening all over again... The only difference is that this time, we have no help...

Sub: Shit, you're right, I never thought about that.

Neos: What do you mean?

Sub: Keep in mind, we have no equipment that can help us to communicate with individuals from other universes, so we have no way of alerting any of the others that this is happening. Honestly, I almost have to give it to Herobrine on this one. He's planned this in such a way that we're practically crippled in terms of what we have to work with.

Steve: Sub's right... The odds really are against us this time... From now on.. we're on our own...
