As Steve began to get some rest and Neos continued the walk to his house, Sub sat within the confines of his own home on his computer, attempting to figure out what was on the flash drive that Grimmus was so eager to give them. He plugged the flash drive into his computer and immediately got the notification that a new storage system had been put in. Now knowing that the computer was able to register the drive, he opened up the files tab of his computer, clicked on the flash drive option, opening up the drive's storage to reveal three files all labeled differently. One of the files was fairly small in the amount of storage that it was taking up while the other two files took up just about the entirety of the drive's storage space, which stood at around four gigabytes. What was similar about the files, though, was that Sub was unable to access the contents of any of them, for they were being shielded by the fact that they were put in as a special type of code that Sub's computer was unable to read. Realizing this, Sub began to have the files encrypted so they may be transformed into that of regular coding, but he knew that this would take multiple hours, if not a day to complete, so without doing anything else, he simply left his computer to it's new task and went to bed. The next day quickly arrived, but upon it's arrival, Steve woke up to the realization that he had slept in, and it was in fact one-thirty in the afternoon. Knowing that he had less than six hours to prepare for the memorial, he hopped up out of his bed and sprinted to the bathroom, where he would take a shower and brush his teeth. Steve was in and out of the bathroom in fifteen minutes flat, and as he wrapped a towel around his lower half, he exited the bathroom with his hair still slightly damp, and would make his way over to his walk-in closet, turning the light inside of it on to reveal a multitude of clothing items. Whether it be shirts, pants, shorts, jackets, it didn't matter. Everything was present in this collection of a closet. As Steve began skimming through the hangers that each pair of clothing rested on, he finally came across something that caught his attention; it was the same sleeve attached green hood from his days with the Elementals that he hadn't worn since. While it was clear to him just how old the hood was, you wouldn't have realized it if you were anyone else, for there was little to no sign of age being shown on the green material. After thinking it over, Steve deemed this the best piece of clothing to wear and would quickly grab everything else he needed. After putting on what it was he had decided on, he looked into the mirror that rested on the wall at the end of the closet to see if any improvements could be made. Staring back at Steve in the mirror was an individual with a green hood with a dark green sleeve that hugged his left arm, a beige shirt, jet black, skintight pants, and pitch black boots to match.
Steve: Man... It's been awhile, hasn't it? Well.. time to go be king.. one last time...
Steve proceeded to make his way downstairs and to his front door, but upon opening it, he'd be greeted surprisingly by Neos, who was dressed fairly casually, wearing a maroon t-shirt with a light gray jacket and blue jeans.
Neos: Took ya long enough.
Steve: How long have you been standing out here?
Neos: Going on about twenty minutes now. After seeing that it was after two o'clock and you still weren't out the door, I honestly just assumed you had overslept, so I figured I'd just wait outside.
Steve: I- Ya know what, I'm not gonna confirm nor deny that assumption. Let's just go ahead and go.
Neos: Real smooth subject changer, bro... Real smooth.
Steve and Neos both began their walk to Jackson Park, which in terms of walking distance, was about forty-five minutes away from them, as it was in a whole other portion of the city from where they lived. Although, they didn't mind, for they enjoyed walking rather than driving or taking a subway, which is why they chose not to wait on Sub, who wasn't such a fan of the walking concept. On the way to the park, the brothers decided to stop for a brief lunch break, which would waste about thirty minutes of the spare time they had, but it didn't make much of a difference, for they still arrived at the park at three fifteen, with over three hours to spare. While they waited for the memorial to begin, they decided to take a walk around the stone track that went throughout the park and take in all of the beauty that they were surrounded by.
