As Steve continued darting through the forest at blazing speed, he couldn't help but think about how his friends behind him were doing against the brigade of Null robots he left them with.

Steve: I sure hope they're alright. Should I have stayed? No... There's no point in thinking about that right now. I have to keep moving forward; otherwise, them staying behind to give me a shot of escape will have been for nothing.

Steve continued running as he convinced himself that what he was doing was the best plan of action, but out of nowhere, he was shot with something that was so fast, he couldn't even see it until it was right in front of him, and even then, he was barely fast enough to block a fraction of the impact with his sword. In fact, the amount of impact he had managed to stop was so little that he would still be launched off the ground and through a tree that stood behind him, dropping his sword in the process. Upon crashing into the ground, Steve glanced over at the sword he had dropped to see it shattered, and when he looked up to see what had hit him, he saw a rocket propelled fist the size of his head hovering in the air, only for it to quickly retreat back into the darkness. Once it had, it sounded as if it had attached to something, but what that something would be terrified Steve to no end. Stepping out of the darkness of the trees, along with the already set sun provided was none other than an oversized Null robot, but this particular Null seemed more suited up than any of the others, which scared Steve even further. Equipped to the Null robot was what seemed to be a form of shoulder pads and chest plate, as well as shin guards, all forged out of what seemed to be —judging by the dark purple coloring— Orichalcum. After realizing the equipment the robot had, Steve looked up to see that this Null just so happened to have some sort of a face in the form of a dark purple half mask covering the lower half of it's face where a human's mouth and nose would be, as well as dark purple eyes that wielded a faint glow. Steve didn't wish to waste even another second thinking about how powerful the opponent that stood before him may be, and proceeded to get up before he could be pinned on the ground in any way; however, what would happen next shook Steve to his core.

???: I didn't think you'd fall to that one blow.

Steve froze. He couldn't process the fact that the robot facing him had actually spoken to him, which honestly made Steve even more frightened by the monstrosity than he already was.

???: No response? What's wrong? Surely, you're not that caught off guard that a robot is able to speak to you.

Steve: I- What are you? Are you just an upgraded Null robot?

???: You wish that was all I was. I'm a full fledged AI. I'm the executioner to my lord, Herobrine's rule. I'm Moderator_619, but you may call me Mod.

Steve: Oh, so you have a name. That's just great.

Mod: The shot I hit you with a moment ago was an ability gifted to me by Lord Herobrine. There was only an eleven percent chance that you would be defeated by that single strike, so I suppose the fact that you're standing again isn't surprising in the least. With that being said, it's time to find out how things will go with me at my best.

Mod began staring down Steve, who used the nanotechnology he wielded to summon another sword, and as he stared Steve down, the computer system he operated on began to calculate how the fight would play out.

Computer: Moderator_619 to Steven Briggs strength ratio: 8 to 1. Moderator_619 to Steven Briggs speed ratio: 7 to 1. Environmental threats: 0. Living threats: 0. Estimated body strength of Steven Briggs: 77%. Estimated chance of victory: 99%.

Mod: Exactly what I thought it would be. Now, face me, Steven Briggs.

Without warning, Mod launched his fist at Steve, which Steve barely managed to dodge by jumping to the side; however, as soon as he had dodged the attempted strike, Mod was quick to react, immediately turning his attempted punch into a successful backhand; one that nailed Steve in the right side of the face and launched him off the ground and back into yet another tree, forcing him to cough up a margin of blood in the process.

Steve: Damn... What did Herobrine feed you?

Mod: If you think that's all I can do, you're badly mistaken.

Steve immediately got up and charged Mod with his nanotech formed sword, only for Mod to catch the sword with his right hand.

Mod: Defiance is futile.

Mod, with no effort, shattered the sword in his hand, with him immediately using his left leg to roundhouse kick Steve in the side of the ribs; a blow which not only broke a few of Steve's ribs, but also sent Steve flying into yet another tree, with Steve dropping down onto the ground, coughing up even more blood in the process. Refusing to give Steve a chance to catch his breath, Mod continued to attempt to stomp on Steve, with Steve barely managing to avoid every stomp attempt by mere inches. Steve tried to kick up off the ground to keep Mod from pinning him down, only for Mod to catch him as soon as he kicked up and hit him directly in the center of the face with a right handed jab. With Mod using his left hand's grip to keep ahold of the throat of an addled Steve, he used his right hand to continuously nail Steve in the face, breaking multiple portions of his face. Realizing that Steve was now likely unconscious, Mod tossed him into yet another tree, with a lifeless, bloodied up Steve, falling to the ground in what seemed like slow motion, with the armor and sword he had summoned with the nanotechnology from Ava's bracelet slowly disappearing, as well as the now tattered green hood he was known for wearing sliding off the arm it's sleeve hugged.

Mod: Welcome to the future...

While all of this was happening, Neos and Sub, along with Xander and the Comonian soldiers were still busy fending off Null robots; although, in the middle of fighting, the remaining Null robots began to retreat one by one, disappearing into thin air with their cloaking abilities. The sudden action confused everyone, for they didn't know what to think of the robots they had spent what seemed like forever fending off retreating; that was, until they all noticed a massive VTOL ship making its way through the sky and in the direction that Steve ran.

Xander: What the hell's that?

Sub: It's a VTOL, but it wasn't supposed to be finished with development yet. That must mean...

Neos turned to look at Sub, only to receive a worried expression from the blue haired individual.

Neos: We gotta go.

Sub nodded in response to Neos' brief statement, and the two began sprinting in the same direction Steve went. Their efforts would prove futile though, as the VTOL stopped over a fragment of the forest, proceeding to drop a platform down into the trees that rested beneath it.

Neos: No, we can't be too late. There's no way.

As if the universe wished to mock Neos, as soon as he finished speaking what he had under his breath, both he and Sub watched as the platform began getting pulled back up to the VTOL with a giant robot and an unconscious, beaten down Steven now on it.

Neos: No... Steve!

After successfully pulling the platform back up to the VTOL, the aircraft began to fly away. As it did, Neos attempted to launch a few fireballs at it in desperation, but with how far it was away, none of them came even close to hitting the flying ship. Feeling defeated, Neos stopped dead in his tracks and dropped onto both knees, unable to do anything but look down at the ground in shame; meanwhile, his friend, Sub, stood beside him, unable to think of any way to keep Neos from growing more upset, for he, himself was upset about what had just transpired.

Neos: Why... Why can I.. not protect him...? What is it that I keep doing to screw things up...? What else is there for us to do...? It's over... Herobrine has Steve and the Delta element... It's two years ago all over again... We've lost...
