Now You Know...

*Nick's POV*

I stared at the ground, I couldn't look at her. She had a child, with him. From the looks of it, she isn't marked. She says she did it to live... but, why didn't she try to contact us? I got up and started to follow her scent trail. It led to the field where I last saw her smile. 

"... he took me. I found out I was pregnant 3 days later, I tried to get rid of it. He said if I didn't do as he said, he would kill me and all of you. There was a time I was so close to being set free, but he came in before I could down the pills. Everynight, it was the same thing, even after Melanie was born. He did it.... The moment I gave birth. I was in so much pain. I wanted to die. I wanted to get out of there. Then he started acting nicer. He let me out side. I tried to jump the fence today. He found me and beat me up, tied me to the wall. He said that is how his dad told him to care for his mate. Honestly I don't think he is a bad guy. Did you see the way he looked at Jade? He appologized and I knew he ment it. I know that Nick will never love me the same again. God this is just like what happened when I was 12..."

I took a step back. That is what happened when she screamed that night? Oh, god. She was raped, and we just made fun of her. Every night she must have been reliving that night, and all we did was yell at her. Why didn't she tell anyone? Lance hugged her and I felt a spark, she is starting to feel again. I stepped out onto the field and Abby looked up at me. Tears started pouring down her cheeks, I felt her pain and sorrow. She still loves me. 

"Abby..." She got up and ran to me. I held her close and stoked her hair. "Shh. Its ok, I am here now. Nothing can harm you."

"I need to tell you something, but I want to get home first. I will tell you the truth of what happened that night." I nodded and she got up. She went to pick up the baby and brought her to me. "She is still too young to know who her dad is...."

"Ill be her dad, I always wanted a girl. Melanie will work." She cried and hugged me. I kissed her forehead and walked back to the pack house. She wanted to talk to Lance for a second, so she stayed there. 

*Abby's POV*

I put my headsets in, Lance grabbed it off my dresser before he left the house. God, Lance knows me so well. I hit shuffle then play, I took off running. I needed the run. I ran for a good hour or so. I switched playlists and hit shuffle again. The first song to come on was Secrets by One Republic. Ironic, I know. I sang along as I walked to the pack house.

The next song started playing as the pack house came into view. I turned off the music and went inside. No one was there except Lance and Nick. I went upstairs and showered. I turned on the hot water and stood under it. The water pounded down my back as I washed my body and hair. After about an hour, I turned the hot water off and got out.

Melanie was asleep by the bed in a crib. She looked so peaceful, nothing will ever happen to her. I promised myself that I would protect her from any harm and that I will make sure she never goes through what I did.

Lance went out to get food, so I sat down with Nick on the couch. I leaned on his shoulder, I took a deep breath and then I told him everything. 

"... He got into my window and told me not to make a single noise. I was so scared, when he.... when he did it I screamed. He took off back out the window and everyone came running in." I was in tears again. 

"Why didn't you tell anyone? Why didn't you say that her hurt you?" Nick had red eyes that slowly went back to normal. 

"I was too scared..." Nick held me tightly against him.
