The first date (lumity)

Luzes pov  

"Amity, Do you want to go out with me tonight?"

"Like, a date?" Amity  asked, face turning red.

"Yeah, i mean, we are girlfriends after all..." i replied with a blush.

Thinking  back on the memory felt kind of surreal.

"Im actually  going on a date with  my awesome  girlfriend!" I sang, twirling across the living room floor

"Not if you dont get ready." Eda scoffed, "Arent you going to pick her up in... ten minutes?"

"Oh crap!" I gulped, "I havent even picked out an outfit!"

"Dont sweat it kid! ive got the perfect thing for you." Eda smirked before going into the basement.

She was down there for only a few minutes before reamerging with a nice faded red jacket, and matching boots.

"This was the outfit i wore on my first date with raine. Its about time it went into use again."

"Oh thank you eda! its perfect!" Smiled, giving her a tight hug.

After some consideration i also put on a white collerd shirt and pink bowtie. Then, after grabbing the bag of snails i had saved from bounty hunting i headed out.

Thank titan eda had let me ride Owlbert or i would have been later then i was already.

Amitys pov.

Luz was officilly late. Late by three minutes. Had she forgotten about me? Had she stood me up?

"Amity you look like your about to pass out."  Emria said.

"Nervous about your first date?" Edric gave me a friendly shove.

"More like nervous she wont show up." I gulped."

"Mittens, she said "ill pick you up at 7:30" Shes only four minutes late. She probly got heald up by hooty or somthing."  Emria said comfortingly.

"Or maybe being stood up just runs in the family." Edric shrugged.

"Edric!" Em shouted, "Shes already terrified enough!"

Suddely there was a knock on the door.

"Hello?" I asked, opening it up.

Luzes pov

There she was, my cotten candy haired godess. She was wearing a gorgous purple dress that sparkled like a sky full of stars.

Amity reilzed i was staring and blushed.

"Amity you look beautiful! Im so sorry im late i was so exited about going out with you i forgot to get ready." I explained.

"Thank you Luz! You look amazing too."

"Have fun you two" Emria winked before shutting the door.

"Well, we should go." I said nervously. And Amity nodded.

Later we landed at the bonesburrow cafe to eat dinner.

"and what would you two like to eat?" A waiter asked pleasently.

"Ill have the daily special." I said, and amity orderd the house soup.

As we waited we ate bread rolls and chatted about school, amity was finally starting to catch up on school again and i was doing pretty average, even with all the new glyph combos i had dicoverd.

But then the conversation to a more depressing turn.

"i cant wait to show you the human relm." I smiled, "I want to show you the ocean."

"Yeah, about that luz." Amity said, suddelly looking creastfallen. "Suppose you go through the door and it stopps working, and ... and we will never see each other again?"

I looked down. Athough i hated to think about it, it was a very real possiblity. "Amity that wont happen i promise." I reached over and put my hand on hers.

"Maybe your right Luz, but im just so afraid of losing you."

"I- am am too amity. Whatever happens just know that i really love you." I replied.

Amitys face turned red and she pulled her hand away. "You... you love me luz?"

"Im so sorry that just slipped out."I blushed putting my face in my hands. I was so stupid. Whay did i say that? She probly really thought i was a weirdo now, if she dident already.

"Sorry? Does that mean you dont?" Amity said, tears welling in her eyes.

"NO! I do, i do love you amity, i just thought if i said it you would be scared way, we've only known each other for a few months and..."

Amity smiled again, "I love you too luz, no matter what."

After dinner we went stargaizing and even saw a shooting star.

"Quick amity! make a wish!"

"A wish?"

"Its a human thing, to wish on a falling star."

I knew what to wish for, i wanted to kiss amity. A real kiss. Not just on the cheek.

I blushed at the thought and looked over at her. She looked so happy, starlight making her dress shimmer, and her hair was almost glowing.

Amitys pov

I closed my eyes and made a wish.

I wished that luz was right, that she could keep her promise.

"Its getting late..." i said, taking Luzes hand.

"Right, your curfew." Luz sighed, "lets go."

"I wish this could have lasted longer." I sighed as luz walked me to my door.

"Me too Amity, I hope we can do this again soon."

I nodded and tuned to the door but luz gripped my hand tigher.

"Wait amity, i want to give you somthing."

I looked at her sideways, "What is-"

Before i could finish luz leaned forward and gave me a soft kiss on the lips.

My heart skippd a beat as i wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her back.

When luz pulled away i felt warm and happy all over.

"Luz... I..." I said, not able to form words.

"Ok love you bye." Luz squeaked, lumping onto owlbert and flying away before i could  say anything. I watched as she flew away and smiled.

"I love you too la batata"

As soon as i walked inside Ed and Em greeted me with meschivous smiles.

"What were you doing out there mittens?" Em nudged me.

"Yeah we heard you land a few minutes ago why dident you come in right away?"  Ed wiggled his eyebrows. I blushed.

"Ha! I knew it!" Edric said, "they were kissing!"

"We were not!" I turned even redder.  "ok maybe we were.."

Emria rolled her eyes and tossed Edric a chocolate bar.

"Congrats sis, you have officially kissed more people then me and Em combined.

"Thats... not entirly true." Em said slyly. "Me and viney actaully have a thing now."

"What?"

"that means your the last one single, now pay up." Edric pouted and handed em a handful of snails.

I rolled my eyes, those two were insuffersble sometimes, "Im going to bed."
