This takes place during "for the future" so spoilers.
they met at hexide when hunter first went, and have been meeting up whenever they can, keeping their developing relationship mostly quiet.
Edrics pov:
The cast was itchy, so it was almost a relif when i broke it open, wrapping amity in my constricted arms.
I was so happy to see my little sister after so long. I had almost given up and assumed she was dead, and now that she wasn't? Even the disgusting halls of new-hexide couldnt dampen my mood.
After letting Amity go I glanced around the room for her other friends, they were all here too! And hunter, at the other side of the room, long hair, fresh scars, and eyebags that could hold my entire action figure collection.
He was in worse shape then i was and still the most handsome person in the world.
"Hunter!" I shouted, and he glanced over, a surprised look crossing his face as he made his way over to me.
"So we meet again blight boy." Hunter smiled, before his face changed to worry. "What in the titan happened to you?"
i paused for a moment, wondering if i should try impress him with my story, or tell the truth.
"I was running from the stars, before tripping and falling in a well. There were rocks at the bottom so..." I glanced over at my bruise covered arms. "yeah here i am."
"You outran those things?" Hunter asked, flashing a smile. "Sick- but hey, what happened to your cast?"
"I broke it trying to hug amity."
"Thats actually really sweet, but your not going to make a full recovery if you keep moving." Hunter smiled weakly, grabbing a large roll of gauze from a passing kindergardener and starting to pach the cast. "That should do it Edric. Now, i dont know when ill see you again so stay safe ok?"
"Can i have a hug before you go?" I asked, not wanting him to leave so soon.
Hunter nodded, gently wrapping his arms around me for a few moments, before letting go again.
"You stay safe to ok hunter?"
"I will." He smiled, cupping the side of my face with a scarred hand.
I blushed a little, savoring the moment..
And then he was gone again.
