Maria went downstairs after showering. She searched Natasha with her gaze but didn't see her in the main area of the house. "Would you like something to eat?" A voice said behind Maria, it was Laura. Maria nodded and went to sit at the dining table. Laura took a look at Maria, who seemed somehow upset. "Everything okay?" Laura asked but didn't get a response.

"Sorry... I've just been super tired and there's something going on with Nat so I am a little worried about her." Maria spoke, sounding unsure after a while of silence. Laura nodded. "Yeah, I've noticed, have you tried to talk to Natasha?" Laura questioned. Maria shook her head and swallowed the piece of bread she was eating. Laura asked Maria about the mission and Maria told her the whole story. How she saved Nat but Nat didn't give her any credit besides dirty looks and annoyed comments. And how they remained quiet the whole drive here.

"Do you like her?" Laura asked straightaway and surprised Maria. "What, who, what do you mean?" Maria tried to hold her calm. "Do you like, like Natasha?" Laura asked again, with no hesitation. Maria didn't say anything so Laura continued "Well to me it just seemed like that, 'cause she has been a total dick to you and you are just worried about her." She swallowed and continued "And it is totally understandable how you feel, you just have to think what you want" Maria looked at Laura who was smiling emphatically. "Yeah, you're right..." Maria uttered under her breath. She got up, thanked Laura for the food and went to the attic.

Maria was in her thoughts and just walked the stairs up to the attic. She felt strange and just wanted to go sleep the feeling away. Maria took her toothbrush from her bag and walked into the bathroom. She lifted her head up and looked in the mirror when she noticed.

"What the hell Hill!" Natasha shouted. Maria's face turned completely red. Nat took a look at her and shut the shower curtain to hide.

Maria ran downstairs as fast as she could. "Laura, you're right. I am into her... I am. And the fact doesn't help that I just fucking saw her naked in the shower!!" She let her thoughts out just like that, went to sit on the couch and buried her face into a pillow. Laura came and sat next to Maria. "What?? How didn't you hear the shower running or anything?" Laura asked while trying to hide her curiousness. "I was just so tired and... she was putting shampoo on so the water wasn't running... Fuck.. I didn't even apologize. I just ran here." Maria mumbled, still covering her face now with her hands. "Maria, it really is fine. You couldn't know. I don't think she's mad at you or anything." Laura tried to comfort Maria. "Urghh... Well she sounded mad as hell. And now her flawless body is all I can think of" Maria declared while picturing what she had just seen.

"I'm gonna go to sleep now, you should go too Hill" Laura said tiredly after a while. Maria watched Laura walk off to their bedroom and just sat there. She couldn't make sense of anything else, she just knew that she really liked Natasha. She considered sleeping on the couch in the living room but still decided to go to sleep in the attic.

Natasha was packing her clothes back into her bag. She took a look at Maria and smirked. "Sorry about that earlier, I really had no idea you were in there." Maria explained herself. "Don't worry, it's okay" Natasha answered and took a deep breath "Actually, I should be the one apologizing. I've been treating you like shit." Nat took a step closer to Maria and apologized. Maria was about to say something but Clint walked in. "Hey. We're gonna go to bed. I tell the kids not to wake you up early in the morning!" Clint informed. They shared good nights and Clint closed the door.

While Natasha was in the bathroom, Maria heard a knock on the door. She tried to open it but it didn't open. "Is it Romanoff?" Clint asked, speaking quietly through the door. "No, it's me, Maria. I can't open the door." Maria responded. After that Maria didn't hear anything from Clint.
