Later that day, Deigh didn't went out of her room no matter how many times the servants knock on her door.

'Why did I do that again?'

The next day she decided to finally walk out from her room. She's still embarrassed from her sudden outburst yesterday that she became alert of her surroundings... If the Duke was around she dont think she can face him ever so proudly like she did before on their first dinner.

After she cried her heart out she realized what she had done. The time she spent in her room seems so long yet she couldn't do anything about it. She doesn't have the face to go out.

'Losing face like that can't you do it for a more mature reason? Ugh... Forget it. '

She keeps on questioning herself until the sun rises. She didn't sleep.

She snapped out of her bubble when she reached the dining room. She was seriously zoning out that she didn't realize the duke was also on the dining table reading a newspaper when she took a seat.

'...'

She immediately tensed up, even the Duke stiffened.

'What an uncomfortable atmosphere... ' the servants thought.

The Duke give the newspaper to a servant and picked his utensils. He was already served his meal, yet it was untouched. It seems like he was waiting for someone.

Deugh noticed it but shrugged it off.

She decided to thicken her face and ask Yera to pass on a meal that has caught her eyes.

After she was served she ate her fill, not even noticing the Duke that kept on stealing glances from time to time.

When she finished her plate, she wiped her mouth with a napkin and stood up to leave yet was stopped by a voice.

"Luxiana..."

It was the voice of the Duke Regal calling out to her.

She doesn't know if she is to be scolded again but this time she looked at him.

Her father who can't look at her straight in the eye only kept his stare in his steak which she found to be massacred as it look so badly different from how it was before.

She waited for him to speak but seconds passed and there were still no response. She sighed and decided to speak.

"If you don't have anything to say, I will be going to retire in my room now... Father." she spoke as politely as possible.

These days Deigh felt like she was speeding up her actions so much that she hadn't have the time to breathe. She kept being bothered about the future that didn't happen yet that her emotions just kept on rushing in controlling her actions.

It was so unlike her, one moment she's shocked, then calm, then is bothered, until she exploded. Deigh wasn't like that, she was a calm person no, rather, she's resigned to everything that's happening around her that she doesn't want to fight anymore. But now that she's in possesion of Luxiana's body. It felt like something's changed.

That time at Lady Mariah's gathering, she didn't plan to act like that, what she only wants is to show that she wasn't like before, that they can no longer do anything to threaten, harm, or abuse her.

She planned to deal with it smoothly and quickly and just leave on the spot but her plan was brushed off when she was in the actual scenario.

She couldn't maintain her patience seeing some of the people who have hurt Luxiana.

That's why she had to stop and rethink of her actions.

She had to restart, that's what came to her mind when she was in her room. What happened yesterday knocked some sense in her. Somehow she realized she's starting in the wrong foot.

She was being pulled by her emotions that the rationale she had is wasted.

"I... I... rry" 

She was to slip off from the dining when she heard her father again, this time her eyebrows furrowed.

'Calm down Deigh... No, Luxiana. Let's strengthen our patience.'

She closed her eyes to clear her mind and open it again.

"Yes, Father?"

"I... I'm sorry... I'm really sorry."
