'Has the story already started?' She asked herself but no matter how much she wracked her head, she got no answer.
As she recall, Luxiana and the Crown Prince were childhood friends. She was introduced to him by the Emperor who was a close friend of the Duke Regal, though, the latter actually didn't like introducing his daughter to boys her age due to some... uhm, confidential or personal matters.
Luxiana and Alistair were childhood friends and their connection continued until Siren came into the picture.
'Well, I don't really care about them... I'm not the real Luxiana, anyway. They can go die marrying each other, and I won't even give a damn about it.' She thought.
But meeting the male lead means different to her. It was not a captivating situation like 'uwu', but a scary sign that doom is nearing. She can't deny the fast and loud beating of her heart, she was nervous.
She hid her fear and told Yera to tell Alistair that she's not feeling well so she can't meet him but the maid of her was stubbornly refusing.
"I may be your maid, Young Miss, but I fear the Crown Prince more than I fear you." She blatantly told her.
Deigh, who's not expecting that coming, blinked her eyes then frowned.
"Should I make you fear me more than you do to the Crown Prince?"
Yera stiffened.
"Of course what I said was just a mere joke, my lady. You should have laugh, you're no fun hahaha..."
Deigh raised an eyebrow at her.
Yera's awkward laughter died at the end when she notice the look her master is giving her.She immediately retreated and took a run for her life... no, towards the direction of the Crown Prince, Alistair.
Deigh thought that it was fortunate that the glass dome was located behind, she can easily enter their mansion's back door and sneak to her room.
Alistair who was at the receiving room patiently waited for Luxiana, he was even served some refreshment but his mind's on another matter, that's why he couldn't touch it.
The door to the room opened but what greeted him was a trembling maid who was about to cry.
He looked at the maid urging her to speak.
"Y...Your highness, I'm... I'm afraid the Young Miss can't meet you right now as she is suffering from sickness... She asks for your forgiveness and consideration for her rudeness."
The maid bowing, uttered.
"Tell Luxiana, that I will come visit again another time and that I wish for her recovery."
Alistair sent the maid away after hearing telling his message.
'Not today... What's happening?' He thought. It's been three months since he last saw her.
It's true that he has heard about her circumstances that is why the more reason to visit her.
But everytime he did the Duke Regal would always intercept, not letting him enter.
He was about to take action too about Luxiana's issue, but was constantly hindered and refused by the Duke saying that it was his responsibility and that he doesn't need his help on the matter, as he can certainly deal with it rather fast and cleanly.
Now was the first time he managed to enter, because the Duke wasn't present, servants couldn't possibly forbid him entrance.
He stood up from his seat and decided to leave.
When he exited the mansion, he entered the carriage and told the coachman to go back to the palace.
As the ride started to move he looked back at the mansion.
'Next time, I will meet you for sure... then I hope to see you smiling again' he thought.
