At First Sight

Chapter 1

"Amber Nyx!"

Rinig kong sigaw ni Tita sa sala kaya dali dali akong pumunta doon. Ugh it's Sunday and Tita is yelling 7am in the morning, God I still want to sleep.

"What, why?" I asked while brushing my eyes using my hands. Inaantok pa ako, e.

"Maligo ka na, magsisimba tayo!"

I looked at her in annoyance. She woke me up just to tell me na isasama niya ako sa pag simba? Oh come on, can't we do it next Sunday? I'm so sleepy pa kaya.

"Can't we do it next sunday? I'm still sleepy."

"No! 'yan din ang sinabi mo last time. Mahaba na 'yang sungay mo kaya maligo kana!" She pushed me hanggang sa makapasok ako sa bathroom. Ugh Tita is so annoying, but I love her tho kahit ganiyan siya.

Wala naman akong magagawa kaya naligo nalang ako, it took 10 minutes at lumabas na ako suot ang bathrobe ko at pumasok na sa room ko para magbihis. I wore a Knitted Vest sa inner and Black Dress sa outer. Sinuot ko ang Canvas shoe ko na binili ni Daddy last month na hindi ko pa nagagamit and get my Black bag, I apply some polbo, cheek tint, and liptint lang naman para hindi ako mag mukhang haggard.

Tita is wearing her Stand Collar Black Dress and black sandals para match sa outfit niya. She's in her 30's but she looks so young, she looks like a 18 college girl like me. We ate breakfast first before going to church, humahaba na nga siguro sungay ko kaya magsisimba na muna ako.

Sa likuran kami umupo ni Tita dahil medyo marami nadin ang tao at kaka-simula lang ni Father mag Homily. I'm a Christian pero every time na isinasama ako ni Tita mag simba hindi talaga ako nag fo-focus at lumilinga lang sa paligid, baka sakaling may makitang gwapo, hehe.

I looked around but Tita pinched my legs kaya I cover my mouth to stop my self from shouting, ang sakit kaya. I looked at her with teary eyes dahil sobrang sakit ng pagka-kurot ni Tita!

She signal me to focus and keep my mouth shut kaya umirap lang ako at nakangusong tumingin sa harap. Hanggang sa matapos sa homily si Father ay hindi ako nag fo-focus at tumayo nalang din dahil tumayo silang lahat.

I still looked around at hindi parin nag fo-focus. I stopped when the guy sitting infront me looked at my direction at kinuha ang panyo niya na nasa upuan. He's so good looking, is he even a human?

Hanggang sa matapos ang Mass ay hindi parin mawala sa isipan ko 'yong lalaki kanina, gusto ko siyang makilala. Sana wala siyang girlfriend, haha.

Feel ko gaganahan na ako mag simba para mahanap ko 'yong lalaki at malaman ko ang name niya, hindi ako titigil. Lunes nanaman kaya maaga akong gumising at naligo, I wore my uniform and apply some polbo and liptint lang. I tied my hair into a Ponytail at kinulot 'yon. Pagkatapos kong mag ayos ay lumabas na ako to eat my breakfast, tita is up na. Bacon ang ulam namin ngayon at pagkatapos kumain ay nagpa-alam na ako.

It's still 7am and 8am mag start 'yong class ko. Ash texted me na nasa cafeteria siya, my best friend. There are few student's saying good morning to me so I greeted them back. Marami kasi akong kaibigan dito sa UA pero si Ash lang 'yong tunay.

''Good morning, babe'' Bati niya agad nang maupo ako sa harap niya, I smiled and greeted her back ''Good morning, too.''

''You told me na may i ku-kwento ka, what is it?'' She curiously asked.

I giggled remembering the guy I saw yesterday ''Nag simba ako kahapon.'' I stopped at mahinang tumawa, kinikilig HAHA.

''Oh my god! May anghel ba na sumanib sayo?'' sumimangot naman ako, ganiyan naba talaga ako ka tamad mag simba?

''So that's it?'' she asked again, kahit kailan 'andaling maubos ng pasensya nito. ''No there's more... I saw a cute guy yesterday, doon siya sa harap namin naka-upo and na love at first sight yata ako kaya araw-araw nakong sisimba.'' at malakas akong tumawa, napatingin pa sa akin ang ibang student's kaya tumikhim nadin ako.

''Simba ba ang pinunta mo doon or landi?''

''Both!'' and we both laughed.

''Alam mo ba name niya?''

''No... But I assure na this sunday malalaman ko na ang name niya and social media's.'' Proud kong sabi and she just shrugged and smile.

''Support kita sa kalandian mo.'' at sabay ulit kaming tumawa.

Our classes started na kaya I need to focus, mamaya ko na iisipin ang kalandian ko. I am taking down notes and every may question sumasagot naman ako kapag alam ko 'yong sagot.

Our class ended na and it's really tiring. Umuwi na muna ako sa condo namin ni Tita at matutulog na muna. Tita is not here, she said na may i-memeet daw siya. If you're curious where my family is, I don't have one.

''Nyx, wake up. Let's eat'' I opened my eyes and saw tita. Lumabas na muna siya ng room ko at bumangon naman na ako. Gaano ako katagal natulog? I reached my phone to check what time is it na, it's 7pm na pala. Feel ko mga 5 minutes lang ako natulog.

I wore my slipper's and go to bathroom para mag hilamos na muna and tied my hair into a hairy bun. Nag bihis na rin ako because I'm still wearing my uniform! I wore my terno-pajama at lumabas na to eat dinner. Tita bought a drive thru jollibee. We enjoyed eating, and after that naligo na ako at sinuot ulit 'yong pajama na suot ko kanina.

Days has passed and I'm doing my routine. Sleeping early, do my home works, eating, and go to school early. We have quizzes so I studied hard to get a good score, hindi naman nag fail kasi I got the highest score. Gusto ko talaga maging teacher but Mom and Dad are against kaya dito ako sa condo ni Tita nag s-stay. Kung anong pagkukulang ni Mom sa akin, iyon naman ang naibibigay ni Tita . I promised to my self na I'll prove them wrong that one day they will accept my desired career that I really want to take. I hate failing.

Sabado ngayon and I decided to hang out with Ash, my best friend. I texted her na pupunta kami ng Mall. Naligo na ako and nag toothbrush, I wore my Chiffon smocked crop top and Wide leg pants, nike shoes naman ang sa paa para match sa outfit. I curled my hair at hinayaan ko lang na naka-lugay. Tita is not around kaya ni-lock ko ang condo at pumunta na sa parking to get my BMW car.

Nag drive na ako papuntang Mall. Kinuha ko ang phone ko at tinawagan si Ash. 3 rings after she answered.

''Where are you?'' I asked.

''I'm on my way now.''

''Me too.. See you there.''

''Yeah, I'll hang up na nag d-drive ako.''

I hang up the call at nag focus na sa pag d-drive. Pinark ko na ang kotse ko at lumabas na, sakto din na may Bugatti car ang nag park sa tabi ko, it's her car. Hinintay ko nalang siyang lumabas para sabay na kaming pumasok. She wore a Cozy Half Zip Up sa top at Teyana Wide Leg Trousers naman sa ibaba, she wore white flat sandals at naka pony tail ang buhok.

Sabay na kaming pumasok and go to different store. Pumasok kami sa Penshoppe store and bought some clothes. I bought Tape Sweatshirt, Stripe Button Front Vest, Loose fit tee and Paperbag denim shorts. Ash bought White croptop, denim shorts, and Signature basic top. After shopping we decided to eat and watch cinema.

I enjoy our quality time together, we took some selfie's. 6pm na kami naka-uwi kaya I go to my bathroom to change into pajamas and mag toothbrush, we ate dinner na kasi. Tita is not yet here, I don't know where she is pero baka busy lang talaga. Humiga na muna ako and get my phone to post our picture we took earlier.

I open my instagram account at pinost ang selfie's namin na nasa arcade kami. I captioned 'Quality time with my bff.' and tag her instagram account. Pagkatapos ma post, I set a alarm kasi mag sisimba ako bukas. Baka sakaling makita ko ulit 'yong lalaki, aalamin ko social media's niya so I can message him.

I have a plan tomorrow kong paano ko malalaman ang name niya, I'll make sure na gagana 'yon.
