I opened my eyes slowly. The first thing I saw was Jack and his concerned face. "Are you alright?" Jack asked. I nodded.
"What happened?" My voice was hoarse and dead sounding. I touched my head with a finger and felt blood ooze from the cut on my forehead.
"You lost." Jack said.
"So why am I still alive." I asked.
"Because Nathalia broke her promise. She's going after the other Guardians instead." Jack explained.
"No! We have to go stop her!" I exclaimed. I sat up and tried getting up. I ended up falling back down. In my attempt, I sprung to my feet. Dizziness over took my as Jack caught me.
"I can't let you do that. I don't want you to get hurt." Jack said. His grip became more tight around my wrist.
"I don't care about my life. I don't care if it's on the line. I have to stop Nathalia, she's my sister. It's my destiny to stop her." I said. Jack hesitated but then heaved me onto his back.
"Fine. But if you die, I'm gonna- I don't know. Just don't die." He was at a loss of words. I chuckled. He was able to find a way to make me happy, he always found a way to make me smile or laugh whenever I was upset. Smiling, I wrapped my arms around his neck. He kissed my hand and I blushed. But he couldn't see it though.
"Are you flying us there?" I asked.
"Actually running instead." He snickered. "Hold on tight." I wrapped my arms around his neck tighter and he took off. He ran at super speed and my eyes widened. I started laughing and smiled at him. We were there in about a minute or two. Jack set me down in the park.
"Stay here, I'll take care of her." Jack said and ran off. I hated it when people treated me like a kid. I stood up as soon as he was out of sight. I jetted off into the sky and watched the battle. There were spirits, fairies, and angels there. All of them were trying to break kids' spirits. The blinking lights on the globe were going out one by one. I growled. I made an ice shield around the workshop and looked around. Jack was staring at me and I looked away. I know I disobeyed him but I had to.
"Where is Nathalia?" I asked a fairy I managed to trap. She pointed behind me and I smirked at Nathalia. I was going to get her back. She was going to pay.
"Hello little Guardians, prepare to meet your doom." Nathalia announced. I growled.
"That won't happen on my watch." I flew over and kicked her in the back. She stumbled forward.
"I thought you were dead. Just like the rest of our idiotic family." Nathalia mused.
"So happy that you killed your own blood. Or the fact that you're happy you're the only one that is still alive from our bloodline." I spat.
"I have no problem with that, you're immortal anyway. And the other three are also immortal. I would've been rid of you for a few decades or something like that." Nathalia smiled. I growled.
"You're cold blooded." I growled. Her eyes flashed red. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again, they were red. My eyes widened.
"This is why I became the spirit queen. All the power and I can break the fantasy for children." Nathalia laughed. I growled. I punched her but she stopped me. We started hand to hand combat. I realized she had no power unless she was in her realm. I smirked and charged at her.
"Nathalia, I will stop you." I said.
"I'd like to see you try." Her fists glowed red and she charged. She punched me and I growled.
"You have no power unless you're in your realm. I can beat you here." I said. I held my side from the previous battle.
"I don't need my little sister telling me what to do and I don't need my realm." Nathalia shrieked. I flew at super speed and went behind her. I hit the back of her neck and she started to fall. I jumped onto her back and held the back of her neck nice and firm. She squirmed and pulled out her dagger.
"You shouldn't be defying me." She chuckled. She stabbed my shoulder and I yelled out in pain. I grabbed my shoulder but kept one hand on her.
"I don't care. I would rather die than have you destroying the fantasy kids live in." I growled. Blood seeped through my arm but I didn't care. It would heal itself sooner than later. I heard a scream and turned around. Jack was attacked by a swarm of fairies.
"JACK!!!" I yelled. I was tempted to go and charged but I decided to put more force. "You're gonna die here and now." I said. We crashed to the ground and Nathalia's hand fell to the ground limplessly. I jetted off and caught Jack. He was unconscious right now but I wouldn't worry. He's Jack Frost.
"Iris, put him in the sled." North came over. I laid him down on the sleigh and kissed his forehead. I smiled and looked back. The enemy retreated.
"Today was a great day, you both did well." North congratulated me and Jack. I sighed and nodded. I looked over at Jack's sleeping face and chuckled. I laid in his arms and drifted off into an endless sleep, hoping that Jack was okay.
