Family Reunion

"Iris!!" I yelled. Doctors pushed me out and I ran to Leo's room. Bursting through the door, the three of them stared at me.

"Iris flatlined." I announced. Jacob's jaw dropped, Leo's expression was hard to read, and Nova already had tears flowing out.

"What!? What happened?" Leo exploded. Then he collapsed back onto the bed and groaned a bit. Jacob rubbed Nova's back and I shook my head.

"I don't know. She just flatlined." I mumbled.

"We're going after Nathalia. Now." Leo growled. Starting to get up, I saw his bandages and Jacob pushed him back down.

"Leo, let us get this one. You're still wounded and we can't have you getting hurt again." Jacob said, determination showed on his face. Leo tensed a bit but then relaxed.

"Okay, I'll leave it to you." Leo's lips curved into a tiny smile and I nodded.

"Let's go!" Jacob, Nova, and I yelled.

This scared me. I was freaking out. My damned inside nerves. Iris could be gone. Her flatline was truly scary. Would the doctors be able to save her? She flatlined, she couldn't live through that. Even if she was immortal, I wouldn't see her in a few months. My heart pounded against my chest and I looked down, tears escaping. Jacob, Nova, and I were flying in the spacecraft that Jacob had created and we looking for Nathalia. We hadn't had much luck so we were just wandering nowhere.

"Hey Jack, calm down." Jacob patted my back.

"I can't!" I breathed in and out. My voice hiked up as I sighed.

"I want our sister back." Nova cried.

"I know you do, but it's not just that easy." Jacob rubbed Nova's back.

"We'll get her back though, right." Nova asked. Jacob nodded and smiled. Once we had managed to track Nathalia down, Jacob pounced onto her.

"How. Dare. You. Hurt. Your. Own. Family!" Jacob punched Nathalia with every word he said. Nova whispered into my ear.

"Cover your ears."

"Ok." I whispered back.

"Jacob!" Nova yelled. Jacob rolled off of Nathalia and covered his ears. A shriek was let out and Nathalia squirmed on the floor.

"That takes care of that." Jacob handcuffed her and we headed back. On the way back, my phone rang and I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey Jack, I got some info." Leo's voice came through. "And Iris is alright."

"She is!?" I yelled.

"Yeah, calm the fuck down." Leo said.

"Leo, I wanna talk to Jack." I heard Iris' voice. My eyes widened as she said hello.

"Iris, I'm so happy you're alright." I smiled.

"Thanks, you're so sweet Jack." She said. Her angelic voice was back.

"So what happened?" I asked.

"Hurry up and come back to my house. Leo and I are there. I'll tell you everything." Iris said. Nodding, I agreed and we headed back.

"Iris!" I yelled.

"Jack!" She ran over and tackled me in a hug. I spun around and smiled so widely. She was beautiful, and I was happy she was alright.

"IRIS!!" Jacob and Nova attacked her next.

"Am I that amazing?" Iris joked around. I smiled at her as her hair fell in the way.

"We missed you so much." Leo exaggerated and I chuckled.

"I missed you too." Iris smiled. I dragged Iris to the side and asked her on a date.

"Yeah, I'd love to. Especially after all of this." She smiled. I nodded and I headed to the upstairs of her house.

"Come on." I smiled.

"Okay." She took my hand and we headed for her room.

"So what happened?" I asked. She shrugged.

"I'm actually not sure. All I remember is that you came... My heart stopped beating and I felt like I was drowning in infinity. You know like nothing there and completely dark. Then my eyes flung open and I came face to face with Leo." She answered me. I nodded, smiling at her.

"I'm pretty sure it was Manny." She smiled. Ruffling my hair, she looked into my eyes.

"I'm just happy you're alright." Smiling again, I hugged her and she hugged back. Then, I crashed my lips into hers and she smiled against it. Best day ever.

"Iris, I love you."

"I love you too Jack." She smiled at me and we spent the rest of the day cuddling.

After Iris woke up, my heart leaped out of my chest. She was alright. My baby sister was gonna be alright. I sat back onto my chair in her hospital room, staring at the heart rate monitor and stroking Iris's hair.

"Leo...?" She mumbled.

"Don't strain yourself. Right now, you need to recover." I said.

"Call Jack and the others... Tell them... Tell them I'm okay." She gasped for air and I inched closer.

"Alright, I will. Don't push yourself." Taking her phone off the counter, I called Jack.

"Hello?" I heard Jack's voice.

"Hey! It's Leo. I wanted to say Iris is alright." Smiling, I looked over to her and she smiled.

"Really!? We're coming!" With that exclamation, Jack hung up and I looked over at Iris.

"They're coming." I announced. "Let's head home." Picking her up bridal style, I ran really fast to our house in Burgess. Then, Jack, Jacob, and Nova entered and we had a wonderful FAMILY REUNION! There was another knock and Iris opened the door.

"Iris! You're alright!" Danny yelled. He tackled her in a hug and I smiled. Iris was laughing and we started playing truth or dare. Best family reunion.
