I awoke to a body moving under mine. I blinked slowly through blurry vision. The couch... uhm... My head lifted a bit to look around. My blurry eyesight found the outline of someone. I stared for a while, wondering why and who I was on the couch with. Wait, his mouth moved... I stared for a little while longer. "Eh?" The person nodded. "Glasses it is zhen." I sat there confused before my vision cleared. I smiled. "Oh, it's just you." Gilbert grinned back. My tired mind made note of the silence.

Gilbert opened his mouth and I pushed both of my hands against his face. "SHHHHH! Listen!" It was quiet for a few seconds. My head dropped back onto his chest. "Coffee?" I nodded. I was lifted from his body then back onto the couch. "Jesus Birdie, why are jou so tired?" I waved my hand. "Coffee now. Talk later." Gilbert laughed then left to brew some of the delicious black liquid. He came back with two mugs and handed me one.

I stared at it for a second. "That's not coffee." Gilbert looked up. "Of course it's coffee! I just brewed it!" I fell back onto the couch. "But I don't want this coffee! I want Timmies!" I whined. "Timmies? Vhat zhe fuck is 'Timmies'?" My head shot up. "Pardon?" His eyes looked away. "Nothing." My eyes narrowed and I glared at him. I felt my face twitch and I lept onto him before he could get away. "One does not simply ask a Canadian 'what the fuck is Timmies?'! You die!"

The house filled with the sound of screams, scrambling and dull thuds. "You can't blame me! I'm not Canadian!" Another thud. "I don't care! I am driving into town and showing you my national pride!" Another thud. "Stop hitting me! Vait, I thought maple syrup and hockey vas your pride?" One more thud. "Don't question me!" Finally I calmed down and poor Gilbert had bumps on his head. We were sitting on the couch and I looked over at him. "Can we still go to Timmies?" His laughter filled the house.

~Time skip!~

"Thank you!" I walked out of Tim Hortons with two steaming cups of coffee. Walking over to our car, I gave Gilbert his cup. He took a sip and his eyes widened. "Awesome! How did I not know about zhis sooner?!" I tapped his shoulder. "Hush, we're still in the parking lot. Come, we have places to be." I got into the drivers seat and Gilbert got in next to me. "Vhere to?" I took a sip and started driving. "The store. I have to buy some food." He nodded and looked out the window at the overcast skies.

"Looks like rain huh Birdie?" I glanced up and nodded. "Yeah. Nothing I haven't seen before though. We'll be fine." We arrived at the grocery store and the skies were even darker than before. After the shopping was done, it started to spit. "Car! Car! Go go go!" Ushered Gilbert. As soon as we were in, it really started to pour. I turned on the radio and listened to the news. "And it looks like the Toronto area is getting beaten pretty badly by the rain, doesn't it?"

I started driving and Gilbert was silent as the radio told of a storm that was supose to pass right by southern Ontario, but an updraft from the south pushed it up further and was fueled by the Great Lakes. The broadcast ended and Gilbert spoke up. "Vell zhis sucks..." I nodded and turned on the wipers. We arrived at home and quickly moved the groceries into the kitchen, placing them into the fridge and cubboard. Thunder crashed outside the house loudly and the wind was howling.

Gilbert peeked out the window and went to turn on the radio. "-And in other news, I hope you weren't planning on going to the beach today, because you might want to reschedual. The storm that is hitting the Toronto area has intensified and is begining to flood the lower areas, and is causing a major power outtage in some areas. Stay tuned for more details..." I sighed. "I better go shut the shutters and lock the doors."

He kissed my forehead and went around to help get prepaired for the storm. After that was done the wind had picked up more and the trees outside were creeking and groaning. We were on the couch all curled up when the lights flickered and everything went black. "Gil? I think the power's out..." I felt him move and he moved into the kitchen. I followed him as he got some candles out of the drawers. I grabbed the portable radio and we went back into the living room.

He set up the candles around the room, casting it into a warm glow. He came back and sat down and brought me into his chest. Over the howling of the wind the radio could be heard, playing soft music and giving news updates every so often. I put my ear next to his heart and heard the soft thumps as it moved, and his quiet breaths. Slowly I felt my eyes close, and just as I was about to drift off I heard Gilbert speak. "Ich liebe dich, Birdie. Sleep well." And I was gone.

~AND THE LONG AWAITED UPDATE! I HAVE DONE IT! The story is going to be nearly over soon. But I was wondering if I could maybe add a Mpreg if you guys didn't mind? I had a good idea for it, but if you don't want one, I won't add it and I'll think of a new idea.

On other news it freezing rained the other day and now there is no snow to be seen! I was like 'WHY CANADA? THIS IS NOT HOW YOU SPRING!' But then it got really nice, so now I don't mind.
