28"What if I misinterpreted it and that's not what he meant?" You asked loudly at the top of your lungs, almost dropping your purse in the parking lot.
Namjoon grinned. "Of course you didn't, you idiot. What else would that mean?"
"He even asked for my opinion on who should take Jimin's position." You beamed. "This is surreal."
"Do you also know what this means?" He questioned while adjusting the collar of your trench coat. "You're never getting space from me."
You laughed at his comment and took a step back. He took a step as well to remain in front of you and pulled you in for a caring kiss.
"I'm excited." You said in return. "Now let's go get drunk, please?"
"Of course, of course." He eyed you. "Hibachi date 2?"
"Hell fucking yeah!"
-
To Namjoon's luck, Minhyuk greeted you both at the door with a sour expression. Of course he remembers you as the:
"Hot girl with a dick of a boyfriend"
Unfortunately, he still had to do his job and guided you to a table in almost the center. Namjoon had a crooked expression, and just to be even more of a dick, he held his chin in ponder.
You fought back a giggle.
"This one won't do."
"I'm sorry?" Minhyuk answered.
"Can we have another booth like last time?" He held out a 'hmmmm' noise. "The lighting and space overall was a bit more—intimate."
The man looked at Namjoon blankly. "Sure. Follow me."
He now sat you down in a booth which was directly in front of the one you sat at last time. He decided to let the man do his job without anymore hassle, and you gazed at him while talking off your jacket.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
You rolled your eyes. "Even though I was hammered last time dosent mean I'm stupid. I saw the way you were acting in front of him."
"What? That's cynical."
"Cynical my ass. Let the poor man do his job." You laughed, holding up the menu.
As he would do a couple months prior he snatched it from your hands, placing a peck on your lips. He went on a whole rant about the things he wants to try but hasn't and then mentioned what drink he was getting.
"What about you?"
You blinked at him and now snatched it back. "I'll just get what you're getting and a flavored margarita."
He whined. "Come on. Let's take some shots."
"I want a margarita."
"You can have your margarita." He sassed. "But you're still taking shots with me, so." He shrugged.
-
"I didn't think I would get this far." He sighed with slurred speech. "Although it was a platonic fear of mine, I thought I'd be back with my parents living somewhere in their basement."
You watched him in awe with a lazy hand supporting your head up. "Have you-" you swallowed. "Talked to them lately? You never mentioned it...I was starting to get sad for you."
You pouted and he threw his arms around you. He spoke into the back of your neck, his breath grazing your skin and sending goosebumps down your spine.
"I haven't." He said softly. "I think they'll never forgive me."
You matched his tone of voice. "Why is that? Forgive you for what?"
"For giving up on them." He sighed. "They were too strict on me, but they still loved me. Especially my dad. I never wanted any help from them and I think they're still mad about it."
All you could ask was a simple question.
"Are you mad at me?"
He pulled back to look at you. "Why would I be mad at you?"
"I didn't ask you about your parents after that day we spent at your house. I should've took more time to talk to you about it. To see if you were still doing okay."
He sighed. "Y/n, you just being there and relating to me was all I truly needed." He tried to refrain from making his eyes water. "No matter what you say to me, my relationship with my parents will still be shit."
You tilted your head, and it somewhat comforted him. He thought about how adorable you are for a second.
"Are you interested in talking to them at all?"
"I guess I'm open to it." He said while taking a sip of your 2nd margarita. "The last time we spoke was thanksgiving. We wished each other a happy day."
You wanted to frown again. "Do you think you should tell them about the promotion?"
He took a while to answer. "A part of me was contemplating it." He looked back at you. "I was waiting for New Years. Maybe pay them a visit."
You smiled.
"I'm really happy. That sounds great."
"I'm really happy that you're here with me," he added. "Because you can join us."
