Clearing The Mind

Chapter 7: Girl.

The school bell rang, releasing all these kids out of their boring classes. Everyone was rushing to go back home to do whatever they planned on doing. However, two students stayed in the class for quite some time. 

"Rose, it's time to go home. You will miss the bus, you know?" said Ethan. 

Rose replied with a soft voice, "Yeah I know, but I want to spend more time with you." Ethan put his hand on her head and said, 

"Don't worry, we will have a lot of time with each other in the future. I won't ever leave you." With that, Rose blushed and stood up from her seat and held Ethan's hand. They left the class together and went to the school gates.

When they saw the bus Rose was going to go on, they both hugged each other tightly before Rose got on the bus. Rose went onto the bus and looked outside of the window seeing Ethan slowly walking away to the shop outside of school. Even though they just hugged 5 minutes ago, Rose already started to miss Ethan. 

Both of them knew if one of them were to lose their significant other, they would have no more meaning in their lives. When Rose got home, she messaged Ethan telling him that she had reached home, something she would always do on a daily basis. After messaging him she went to take a shower.

Meanwhile, Ethan was hanging out with his friends at the store. All of them were eating some soba when a girl tapped on Ethan's shoulder from behind. The girl's name was Lapis. She asked Ethan what he was doing later this evening. Ethan told her that he was going to go home and had no plans this evening except for gaming with the boys. Without hesitation, Lapis asked Ethan out on a date. 

Ethan was shocked and looked at his friends. All of them were shocked not knowing who this girl was and why she asked Ethan on a date out of nowhere. Ethan obviously refuses and tells Lapis that he already has a girlfriend. 

Lapis, stunned, not knowing what to say next, rushed out of the store with anger and tears in her eyes knowing she couldn't have that chance with Ethan. The fact that Ethan had a girlfriend fueled her anger even more and thought to herself, 

"Why isn't the girlfriend me? I AM SUPPOSED TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND!" With that, Lapis started planning on finding out who Ethan's girlfriend was and planned on making both of them break up so that she could have Ethan all by herself.

After Ethan finished eating with his friends, he went home still shocked by what happened just now. He never expected someone to approach him like that. But even though Lapis was a pretty girl, he still had eyes on only one person and that is Rose. When Ethan got home, he immediately messaged Rose telling her what happened today, 

"Hey babe, a girl called Lapis randomly came up and asked me out on a date today but I declined so yeah." After he had sent the message, he put his phone down on the table and went to take a bath.

Rose saw the message Ethan had sent to her and replied with, "WHAT, a girl tried to take you on a date??? I am your girlfriend. Why would anyone think of bringing you on a date except for me?" 

Looking at the message Ethan sent, Rose was still in shock at who this girl was and why she asked Ethan on a date. Rose shrugged it off and continued reading her book. After Ethan came out of the shower, he called Rose. 

Rose picked up the phone and said, "Heyyy, so you want to tell me who that girl was?" 

Ethan replied, "I don't even know that girl. She walked up to me out of nowhere while I was eating my lunch and randomly asked me out on a date. But I refused, because why would I go out on a date with somebody else when I have you." Rose sighed with relief knowing that her most trusted person didn't do anything stupid that would ruin their relationship.
