At the law firm, Ethan looked at a file in front of him then at Sienna. "Mr. Olayinka wants this case to be your first in the firm" Sienna said with her regular blank expression.
"I see" Ethan said, flipping through it.
"As lawyers in the same firm, it is important to work together. Especially since we are in the same field" Sienna said, making Ethan look at her. "I can introduce you to some other people who can help with this case."
"Thank you, I appreciate it" Ethan said, "I just need to study the case first."
Sienna nodded and left while Ethan sat down. "My first case in the firm, this case doesn't look so simple." Ethan mumbled and huffed, "let's get to work."
At a fast food joint, Tamara and Eric walked in talking about the Lekki tollgate shooting and how it is affecting the police force. They were dressed in regular clothes.
"I have to say, it is quite terrible" Tamara said sympathetically, "I can't believe they actually shot those people."
"Some people are saying it's not true" Eric said pointed out but Tamara scoffed and looked at him.
"Tell that to the people who actually lost friends and families there" She said blankly.
A man wearing a cap stood at the counter and the server greeted him. "Good afternoon sir, what can I get you?" the server said.
The man drew attention to a gun and the server covered her mouth alarmed. "Don't make any noise or do anything stupid" he said in a low voice, "put all the money here."
The server nervously complied and sneakily put out the money into a small pouch in the man's hands. Tamara suddenly came to the counter and the man and the server tried to act natural.
"G-Good morning, I mean afternoon" the server stuttered nervously, "W-what can I get you?"
"I want...Two bottles of Pepsi and two meat pies" Tamara ordered and the server nodded.
"I will be right back" the server said and glanced at the man who was beginning to walk away. Tamara noted the odd vibe and her eagle eyes spotted the gun now in his jacket.
Tamara looked at Eric and caught his eyes. She darted her eyes towards the man and gestured to his jacket. Eric nodded in understanding.
"Excuse me sir" Eric said, getting up to approach the man. The man stopped looking nervous.
"What?" he asked gruffly.
"Can I see what is in your jacket?" Eric asked.
"What?"
"Your jacket?" Eric said seriously and the man's eyes darted around nervously. He suddenly shoved past Eric in a run but Eric expertly dragged him by the collar of his top and slammed him on the ground.
The crowd gasped in surprise. "Everyone! Get down!" Tamara yelled and rushed to the struggling Eric. The man wriggled to get out of Eric's grasp. He hit Eric's head with his elbow and Eric fell back, his nose bleeding.
The man brought out the gun and started to get up but Tamara slipped the man down from his knees on the floor and he fell back to the floor hard.
Eric pressed the man's face down while Tamara sat on top the man and slipped an handcuff on his wrists behind his back.
