Ethan left Sienna's apartment after that and returned to his home deep in thoughts. "Why don't you just move in with Sienna" Michael said, "you practically live there now."
Ethan just stared at him unimpressed. He was more occupied with something else. "What's the time?" He suddenly asked.
"Don't you have a watch? Or a phone?" Michael retorted but closed his mouth when he saw Ethan's glare. "it's just past six, why?"
"Then there is still time" Ethan said, his eyes lighting up and he got up and left the apartment without any explanation to a confused Michael.
Minutes later, Ethan stood in a ring shop browsing purposefully through some rings. "I can roughly tell Sienna's finger size" he mumbled musingly.
An employee came to his aid. "What are you looking for sir? Any special ring?" the employee smiled, "I may be of help."
Ethan smiled, "I need a proposal ring."
"Really? Then I have perfect rings right here?" the employee said leading him to a corner. Ethan looked at the rings carefully.
At Ethan's parents home, Martin sat outside on a bench thinking. He had returned earlier from the court and what he witnessed made him hesitant.
"What happened at the court? Did Ethan see you?" Nnenna asked, sitting next to Martin. She looked at him attentively.
"No" Martin answered, "I was just thinking about how close Sienna and Ethan looked. They looked so...right for each other if I am honest."
"What happened at the court?" Nnenna asked expectantly.
"She won the case" Martin replied and Nnenna nodded approvingly but she still looked hesitant. Martin looked at her, "are you having second thoughts?"
"I don't know, I was just think if Sienna leaves" Nnenna thought, "if Ethan finds out, would he be angry with us? He has been happier with her."
"We didn't force Sienna, she came of her own accord and decided to leave. She is the one who made the choice" Martin said firmly though his eyes said a different thing. He was uncertain.
Nnenna mumbled in agreement and behind them in the passageway, Ebere looked shocked at what she had heard.

The next day, Sienna had woken up early in a sombre mood. She was packing her clothes slowly into a suitcase on the bed.
"Only a few hours left" She said to herself, "time moved really quickly."
Sienna sighed to herself as she folded her clothes. She looked at several pictures of her and Ethan. "If I leave now" she mused aloud, "would I have any place in his life if I returned later?"
Sienna stared at a particular picture. It was a picture that Ethan took of her laughing when they were at the town for a team trip.
She sighed deeply and put it in the suitcase. She got up when she saw the time and went inside to change.
