A day passed and it was back to work for the lawyers of Olayinka and Co. The men the police had caught attacking Sienna and Sharon had confessed who sent them so Sienna was going to use this to win her case. Tomorrow was the court hearing.
"...Ethan was so cool" Sharon said, narrating the event to the lawyers there. "he beat the men so good, he looked like a martial artist. Sienna was amazing too, I couldn't believe she could fight."
"Wow, it was the grace of God that kept you alive" Tiwa said amazed, "otherwise what we would have heard is someone's death."
Tiwa glanced at Sienna as she said it but Sienna betrayed no reaction. "Wow, it's amazing how she can still remain so emotionless" she muttered.
"You should know her by now, Sienna has guts of steel" Sharon said in reply. "Honestly, I'm impressed."
"Are you sure Ethan is okay? He is looking really out of it" Amaechi said worried.
"What do you mean?" Sharon asked and Amaechi pointed to Ethan who was fumbling with his work. He looked really frustrated and threw the object aside in annoyance.
"That is disturbing" Sharon said concerned.
Sienna stared at Ethan along with the rest looking worried. She had seen how terrified he looked to have blood on his hands.
It was like he was scared, of himself.
At Mr. Olayinka's office, Ethan sat down looking frantic while Mr. Olayinka sat opposite him calmly. "I heard about what happened, you did well saving Sienna and Sharon" Mr. Olayinka said.
"Saved them? I almost killed those men" Ethan said shakily, "I almost lost control. If she didn't stop me, I..."
"Ethan, don't go down that path. Don't hate yourself" Mr. Olayinka said calmly, "you've come this far, I know you still have control. You are the one in charge, not your past."
"It's hard to agree with that when my past flashed before my eyes" Ethan said guardedly and got up. "I'm sorry sir, I have to go."
Mr. Olayinka didn't know how to stop him so Ethan walked out. He bumped into Sienna on his way out and avoided Sienna's heated stare.
Sienna entered the office and gave Mr. Olayinka a case file. Mr. Olayinka looked at it and nodded approvingly. "Good, good" he said, "are you sure you can take on the MJ Ventures case tomorrow?"
"Very, I am going to make them pay for attacking me" Sienna said confidently.
"Good, I heard you beat up the men fine" Mr. Olayinka said amused. "Glad those taekwondo classes worked well for you."
Sienna lightly shrugged with a pleased smile and took the case file back. She turned to leave but stopped and looked back.
"Sir, what is wrong with Ethan?" She asked, "he isn't responding well to anyone in the office and he is blatantly ignoring me."
Mr. Olayinka stared at her curiously as she continued asking. "I noticed he looked strange after beating those men, like he didn't know what he had done" Sienna said, "do you know anything?"
"Maybe I do, but I don't think you should know. It's his problem" Mr. Olayinka said cryptically.
"But it's my fault he is like that. The men came to attack me" Sienna defended.
"Listen Sienna, Ethan's problem is very personal, just like yours" Mr. Olayinka said and Sienna self-consciously held her neck. "just try to get him out of his shell and he will be better."
