Y/n's POV

The rain started falling on our way back to the castle, I had no other idea where to hide her for now "Why did you save me?" like I had a fucking idea "I wish I knew!" the rain was making us all soaked, I nudged the poor Scarlet to get to her maximum speed and after a couple of minutes, we were in the stables. "Good Evening Madame!" Charles greeted me, looking happy as usual "Charles, get this woman to your house on this lot for the night, please"

I grabbed the blonde's arm "If even as such as a dust will go missing in his house, I'll make sure you go back to that inn!" she nodded, leaving with the caretaker. I took care of my baby, feed her and made sure she was dry and put a blanket on her (we are talking about the horse, calm ur gay ass). I went inside the house, finding Cosette sitting near the fireplace "Good Evening!" the little girl ran up to me, I picked her up immediately for a hug.

"My brothers?" she told me that Marcel was in bed all day, probably with a cold and André is not here for the night "Why are your clothes so wet?" her small hand touched my coat "I was in the city, lost track of time" Cosette sat down on my bed as I went for a shower and changed for the night. She told me how amazing and interesting her day was, she had to put ingredients into their place, wash and chop fruits and vegetables and things like that.

"I had so much fun, I even made a friend! Her name is Juliette and she's 16 years old, the daughter of Marie" this child was so adorable, I'm so glad I helped her. "Come now social butterfly, it's time for bed!" the girl got next to me, when an idea popped in my head "How would you like your own room with a lot of toys?" the tiny body immediately sat up, looking at me "My old room is intact downstairs, some dusting and ventilation, in a couple of days, it could be done"

After several enthusiastic yes and thank you, we both fallen asleep. I had a dream about the Madame, currently in the caretaker's house - all I could remember was that we were riding horses together. My bedside was empty again, I put on one of my riding outfits on, going downstairs, seeing André at the table "Wow, your riding obsession is fascinating" I just smirked at his comment, making small talk during breakfast.

On my way to the stable, I told Albert what I wanted with my former room, then I took some of my mom's old clothes with me. I found Jean at his usual place, cleaning André's horse, Thunder "Charles, please get the Madame here" he left and soon came back with a much cleaner woman "Please leave us, thank you" the blonde seemed confused when I gave her the dress. "Change your clothes in one of the paddocks, I need to get you out of here"

"Out where?" she came out and that dress really suited her, especially voluming her breasts "Back to the city, of course" I got my saddle for Scarlet, getting her out of the paddock "No, please y/- please Madame Richelieu, don't take me back there! H-he will find me!" the chance of that was definitely high. "Then what am I supposed to do with you?" I won't employ her into the house staff, that would break Cosette...

I pulled Scarlet outside with me "Stay here. Charles!" the older man was at the door of the stable "What do you say about having a helper? The madame here, perhaps" he agreed (like he had any other choice). I hopped on my horse "Charles, escort Madame Thénardier to the shop where you can buy the attire for her job" I handed them 200 Franc, I got out of the stables, seeing the blonde child outside with a list.

"Where are you heading girl?" her big blue eyes looking up at me "Marie sent me for some ingredients to the city" I told her to hop on the horse, which she happily did and we went on our way to the market. "Y/n Richelieu?" Cosette was on her way to buy the ingredients, I turned around with Scarlet, to see Megan, my dear friend from America, on her horse (yes, I'm obsessed with horses in this story).
