Ready or Not

Chapter 12: I can't do it.

Athena's POV

"Reject me."

His words and the tone of his voice echoed in my head. Why the fuck would he say that?

"Because you are strong you would not give in so he is giving up and going to go be with Aura." My thoughts echoed.

"No! I do want to be with him. I do belong with him."

" But we don't need him. Reject him. He doesn't want a girl like you other than to fuck. He deserves Aura." My thoughts continued.

"Why are you so mean and negative. You are me. I hate you so much. I hate myself so much." I countered.

"Exactly, I am you. You don't hate me you hate Jayce. Now reject him."

I felt a pang in my heart am I really going to do this.

"I Athena Blaze daughter of Beta in the Lunar Eclipse Pack re...reject..." I started but I couldn't finish.

This is fucking hard. Why would someone to do this? My heart was aching just trying to say these words. Now how would someone feel when the bond is breaking after you complete the rejection?

"Let's try and find out." A thought echoed.

"Why do you want us to go through this?"

"Because, I am protecting you." The voice shouted. I heard it whispered or mumbled something at the end but I could not quiet catch it. "Just fucking say it Athena."

My thought were swarming with thoughts of how to reject Jayce but my body, my heart couldn't do it.

"I Athena Blaze reject..." I choked. His name would not come out of my mouth. I looked up to meet his eyes. The were filled with worry, fear and sadness.

"Yes yes yes continue." The voice echoed.

I looked back to the ground. I did not want to see anymore.

"I can't do it." I whispered.

"Nooooo." It shouted in my head.

"Can't do what?" Jayce asked I could hear an emotion in his voice but I don't know exactly which one it was.

"Stop acting so fucking dumb. Fool! I can't fucking reject you." I shouted with anger as I looked up to meet his gaze gain.

The look of amusement and shock was plastered all over his face at my outburst. Joy and something else was was showing as well but I couldn't put my five fingers until his hand was swiftly wrapped around my neck again. Our lips were only centimeters away.

I wanted him to kiss me so badly. I could feel my body reacting to his touch as well. His hand fit so perfectly around my neck as if it belongs there. Which is does.

"I am glad you can't reject me but next time you have that type of attitude with me Athena." He chuckled and tapped his fingers on my next before lowering his lips to my ear. "You will be punished and that pretty little mouth of your will be putting in so work." He growled his lips were so close to my ear I could feel his warm breath on my neck.

"Jayce" I moaned.

"That's right baby be mine."

Once those words left his mouth my mind betrayed my body and negative thoughts started to raid my head. All I knew next was I pulled away from Jayce and it was like my mouth had a mind of its own.

"Just because I can't reject you doesn't mean I still want to be with you. I don't need you Jayce."
